Hi friends!
I’m going 2 for 2 planting my Anemones in January again this year in my zone 6b! I’m hoping for a win again by having these turn into some lovely Spring blooms!
Anemone corms love the cooler temperatures and will bloom mid Spring. They produce the most beautiful and magical flowers and make great cut flowers too!
I purchased these corms from www.longfield-gardens.com
De Caen Mr.Fokker (Blue)
De Caen Sylphide (Pink)
I look forward to sharing these beautiful blooms with you in a video this coming Spring!

Oooo… this will have big pay off come spring! Love the frilly ones you shared in last years photos! Our weather has been interesting this winter as well. Large dump of snow and now it’s all melted and “warm” out (10 C or 50 F) but I’m ok with that! 👩🏽‍🌾🌼

Oh I hope these are a repeat of last year! Our weather patterns are definitely sounding similar. It’s 50° F here again today and very mild temps for the next 10 days! I’m ok with all of that too!🌸

I have just ordered some anemones and ranunculus which I've never planted before. They are a beautiful early flowers. Thanks for the tip to over seed with forget me nots, which I've also never planted those. And Bobbi I'm not laughing at you! I'm laughing with you! You have no idea how many times I walk back and forth to get what I need, pull plants out only to plant them someplace else, and whatever craziness befalls me. 😆

I was looking at Lisa Ziegler’s ‘Cool Flowers’ book and I’m not able to plant them (Sweet William) until early spring. I know it depends on your gardening zone. Can’t wait to grow Sweet William. I’m with you, I look forward to seeing the snow “go.” Laughs are great. Thanks for helping us smile.

Man those Anemones are beautiful. Also they are “My Colors.” I tend not to follow the rules with gardening “especially with potatoes.” I will be looking for those for next year. Thanks for sharing Bobbi!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who is a garden “rule breaker”! I do love Anemones, such a unique flower! Thanks for watching! 🌸

Fingers crossed 🤞 that the critters don't dig them out, otherwise I'm sure they'll be beautiful. Lovin' that little work horse seat/knee pad?/tool holster, looks very handy. Enjoy the warm weather!😄

Thanks my friend! so far, so good on the critters! I love the kneeler/seat too. That’s the one we featured in a video that the company Deerfamy sent me to try out. I use it quite a bit!

@@GardeningOnTaylorMountain I’m in zone 5b so not much happening yet. I have started some Maverick geranium seeds and going to do my cup and saucer seeds soon. The forecast for the next few weeks looks good. Happy gardening 😊❤️

@@vickiperkins476 Oh fun! I decided not to start any geraniums this year, they took up so much space and I need all the space I can get! I hope you’ll share photos of your cup and saucer on Fb so I can see them! I’m toying around with an idea for a video asking the subscribers to submit a photo of their favorite flower etc so I can share in a video. I think I could handle producing a video like that but I’m still thinking on it ☺️

@@GardeningOnTaylorMountain , that would be great. I like the cup and saucer vine mostly for the foliage. It doesn’t bloom till later as you know 😊. I would certainly share some photos if your plans come to fruition 😊👍

I have planted 125 Anemone so far starting last November and I have another order of over 100 yet to plant. I'm in zone 8b. The ones I did not soak are not coming up very well, but the ones I did soak are coming up a little better. Still not the majority of them are showing up. Good luck.

Hi! I hope you get a great crop. Pre-soaking is definitely a plus. We received 2’ plus of rain just after I planted mine. I am hoping because I had such great success last year, I’ll get a repeat. As I said in the video, it takes patience with Anemones so keep hanging in there! Sounds like you’re in a great zonal area for things to grow and thrive!
@zaneymay
@zaneymay 6 месяцев назад
@@GardeningOnTaylorMountain yes that was my reasoning too, we had a lot of rain coming when I didn't soak before planting. Not have any problems with the ranunculus they are almost all up, 360.
@GardeningOnTaylorMountain
@GardeningOnTaylorMountain 6 месяцев назад
@@zaneymay Oh yay for the Ranunculus! I do soak and pre-sprout those and I currently have mine in cool, darkness hoping that they sprout! It’s nice you can plant yours out in the Autumn. I feel like that makes for a longer stem and more healthy root system. Way to go!

Can't wait to see them. Did you dig up the corms from last year to save?
@GardeningOnTaylorMountain
@GardeningOnTaylorMountain 6 месяцев назад
Hey Cynthia! I treated them from last year as annuals. I don’t have a good place to store tubers and corms. However, I think I will dig these corms and save them since I realized my office closet stays cool and fairly dark especially since they don’t take up too much room.
@cynthiaroberts9639
@cynthiaroberts9639 6 месяцев назад
@GardeningOnTaylorMountain I have had great success with ranunculus corms...I dig them and brush off dirt and store them inside my house in a box. I also have a few anemone I've stored the same way . I just soak and pre-sprout and they have done great!
