Covering your corn that way sure looks easier on your back than hoeing. Growing your corn, beans, & pumpkins/squash like that is how the Native Americans grew them too. Jared, seems like the old ways are better, and since I'm new to gardening I appreciate learning from you. Thank you. Blessings 🕊🙏

We had a light frost on Thursday night. I’m counting on that being the last one. I planted a little over half my garden on Saturday, got a nice rain on Sunday. We planted peaches and cream corn, I love that stuff, got in about 150 seeds. I liked seeing the corn planter never saw one in use. thanks enjoying the videos.

@@tractorboy4148 yeh he tried that we just believed that the soil wasn't uo to par, like tomatoes every other year we would move then cause they remove a lot if the nutrients from the soil around them. And he would plant them near corn kinda like the 3 sisters corn green beans and squash. But with mayors near them. He grew them for 15 years my younger life and after that they wouldn't grow good anymore. He tried just about everything. And the fact that he had no teeth he just paid for canned corn . Lol it was something to sit and eat and hed pull a tooth out. It was called Copenhagen all his life, he was the only man I know that would out in a chew and lay down and sleep all night. I always would snicker at him when hed wake up coughing cause hed swallered some. Some of my best days in life were along side him. That man did something my father wouldn't do and that's take me in an raise me. Sorry didnt mean to ramble I loved that man. Union Pacific RR 38 yrs

Jared, can you explain more about the timing of planting the beans (what kind) and sqaush or pumpkins in amongst your corn. I tried it once with planting purple hull peas next to the stalks before hilling. While the peas grew, oh, I hill my corn when its 12 inches, maybe shaded them, they didn't climb the stalks or take off producing. They were still alive when my corn G90 was harvested so I cut the stalks off and had a crop of purple hulls before winter. I need your varieties and timing of the planting please...I don't know your climate, but I'm 7b so I'm hoping its similar. Thanks
