To those who volunteered - you are a shining example of all that is good in this world ❤️ To Jonathan and Ashley - your courage and generosity are unmatched. Sharing your experience, your homestead, your energy (in spite of your introvert jitters) is such an amazing thing to witness ❤️ To the Longnecker kiddos - you four creative and beautiful souls are among the luckiest of humans. To be raised by parents who understand the value of creative teamwork, who stretch beyond comfortable thresholds and who tirelessly pioneer their vision of a sustainable way of living…what an amazing opportunity. I’m grateful beyond measure to be a witness to this beautiful symphony ❤️
This kind of community is something that used to be common and is so encouraging to see happen, thank you guys for bringing them together and us along.
Thank you to everyone that showed up to learn and help this family!!! What a wonderful work party! So impressed with the viewer dedication and interaction. Awesome opportunity, great work, fantastic progress!
Me too! I had been filming as we were driving in and just turned off video to take a few pics and missed getting the dino on the vid but was so hilarious...best part of day....it still makes me laugh so hard! 🤣
I had such an awesome time!! I’m so grateful you opened up your property for an opportunity for us to learn 🙏🏽 I feel so excited to get started on my place in the future after that experience. Thank you again and those hot dogs and cookies were sooo good!!
Thank you for coming! We loved getting to meet you and we’re excited for you to move out to Bisbee. There’s a great community there as well as here. Let us know when you’re back in town!
Seeing the self reliant community come together for a common goal is just beautiful! How cool that so many people would show up to help you build your dream?! It’s freaking awesome! ❤️
It truly is awesome to see so many people from all walks of life coming to help with this project. Hopefully everyone learned something. We will definitely be doing it again
Thank you folks who showed up, were professionals, polite and respectful so others may have the opportunity to come in the future. Thank you for helping them get so much done.
I am with you on the introvert thing. If I don't create alone time I really miss it. If I have to be around a lot of people with gobs of different conversations, it takes me days to process it all and decompress. You two and the kids did a great job and made all of us feel welcomed and happy. :D
Finally, RU-vidrs that don't try to act like they're Big Deal Internet Famous when having visitor-helpers! Glad you guys got a leg up from friends of the project and glad it went well! It's tough putting yourself out there but your sincere, humble attitude will carry you far. Have a good weekend TSH! See you guys on Monday.
Loved seeing more people learning about off-grid options. The community aspect is so awesome IMO. And cookies and high fives are definitely the currency of community.
Introvert...us too...it's what is keeping me from making our own YT channel to journal our journey so you guys are one step ahead of me! 😜🤣 It was a super great experience stepping out of our patch of the desert to come help you with yours! Thanks so very much for the opportunity to be a part of such a fabulous community coming together and helping out! We had a blast that day and look forward to being able to help you guys and others in this community again some day! It was great getting to meet so many new friends! Who knew there was a technique to mud slinging but you shared your Plaster Master expertise and it made it so much easier! 😜🤣 Sending much love to the TSH! Amazing family and day! 🥰
We would love to come help again any time! Now that we know the technique, I feel I would be more productive plaster masters next time! 😜🤣 Hopefully we can step out of our shell and get more involved with helping other off gridders in our area too! This whole sense of a community working with each other really is the magic of it all and it's a old concept being refreshed and we can't wait to get back to good living! 🥰
Hey, Miranda here. We had such a good time plastering and meeting you all. Thanks again for hosting. Hope you got some rest. Looking forward to more hyperadobe hangout time 🙂
Thanks so Much for having us over, it was worth every minute! Y'all were such Amazing hosts! I'm so honored to have been apart of the first Plaster Party! The coffee shop was great! DEFINITELY one of the best dayz ever! I really enjoyed meeting everyone! I learned so much about Plaster, ❤️ the hands on experience! Like just Amazing too see what you can do when you put your mind to something! Y'all are a true inspiration 👏! By the way How do we become Homies?
Hey Michelle. It was so good to meet you! You should come to one of our Barn Raiser meetings. A group of us gets together twice a month to help someone with their project. Great group of people to connect with. Tinyshinyhome.com/support
With all the negativity in the world right now it’s heartwarming to see these wonderful people show up to help you ❤️ It’s really coming together and looking so good 👍
That moment when you start the video but the phone won’t connect to the speaker for the cool tunes!!! Grrr I am all set now, though, to watch, and listen!
Oh that's awesome! Nothing beats real experience and being shown how-to. You can explain mistakes away, quickly learn, and get that confidence going. I'm sure many people would be interested in more workshops, like learning how to bag, or lay foundation, do a roof, etc for their own future building project, even animal care etc. So glad to see this happening. And as a big plus, a lot got done!
Wow, that Octillo is jamming! Nine Nine tries so hard to play with the kitties. Cool, meet up at the Talking Irons Coffee Shop! Caravan! That pesky T-Rex joining the fun on a motorcycle. Bobble headed gecko on the truck roof too. The more the merrier! It's so fun to hear the kids giggling as he goes by on the motorcycle! Nice turn out. I'm so happy you're getting some extra hands on this big project! This is fun to see. it looks like a lot is getting done! Stick bug and spiny lizard cameos. Did you get gloves for everyone? Nine Nine will have a hay day! I liked the fun fact for today! It did look like a lot of fun. It looks like good food. High five and a cookie thank you. So cute! I bet you're exhausted! See ya plastering again on Monday! Have a great time recuperating! This was very enjoyable to watch. Thanks guys!
I’m so glad it turned out to be a helpful day volunteers are usually very useful on projects as long as they are guided properly and given some basic instructions at the start. So glad it turned out well.
Happy Friday TSH Fam! I just looked at your weather forecast for Cochise County; as I here in Jefferson County Colorado (Although it was 90 degrees here yesterday) we are getting SNOW today (No I am not crazy and I haven't been consuming "adult" beverages). It's 40 and raining outside right now. We are expected to get 18 inches in my area. I wanted to see if you all were going to get blessed with some of this cool weather and alas...no, you aren't. Outstanding @ 6.09 with TST-rex riding the motorcycle; this and NineNine with his intro to "Watch Out" by Chaun Davis...I could binge watch all day. Absolutely! Have another plaster party. I will be demoing a shower later on today and will be as tired and sore as you all.
@@StoneKathryn ...Yea, I have a friend about 45 minutes due west from me in a casino town called "Central City" and it's been snowing since 6 AM today. The roads are too warm for it to stick to, we so need the moisture so even though I hate snow, I'll take whatever we can get in the moisture area. The good news is, next week when the soil isn't rock hard like it normally is, I will lay landscape fabric and the staples and nails should slide right in the ground.
Woohoo! Party! They got so much done - and now, filling in the gaps will feel so much more "productive" because it will quickly turn into a completely covered wall or four! 😊
They got a ton of work done!! I'm an extroverted introvert (or is it an introverted extrovert?) and can totally understand how this could have gone wrong for you! But it went SOOOOO right! So glad for everyone's experience on that day. I even saw a couple of senior citizens helping you which did me a world of good, as I thought I couldn't do that work at my age and now I see it is possible. Really enjoyed this one. And, as usual, best B roll on RU-vid! Have a good rest and enjoy your solitude this weekend. See you on Monday!
🤣 So funny but yes it was great for my aging body to see if I could handle it too because we plan to do hyperadobe soon! It surprised me that there really is a technique to mud slinging and it's not as easy as they make it look! I have been sore for a few days but I can totally do this! 😜🥰
Hi Peggy.. and R3KT Don't give up. I just turned 70 & I've slowed way down. This family is amazing and so much like the Energizer Bunny. A true inspiration. You might enjoy seeing this old lady's baby steps @ ru-vid.com/show-UC-2pusT0oBRxpDLRHidJbxA
I just want to say that I find it incredible that you guys have these meet ups and let your followers help you because then when they look back at your property and all the little buildings they are going to know that they helped with that like they were a part of it. Truly amazing I love it
So glad you introverts invited, engaged, taught and enjoyed. Good on you and on the team that came out and joined in on the creation! Woohoo, progress!
That sounds like fun! FYI...I turn 60 August 1st, and I'm trying to decide if, and what I should do for this milestone birthday. Happy (early) birthday to your daughter! Hope she gets lots of help, and has a great day. ❤️🫂
60s are pretty good!! I'm sure ypu'll celebrate well. 💕 I didn't do anything this past year for my 70th. Just glad to have made it because my two older brothers didn't.💕
@@sondraflesch1463 I'm sorry. My mom went through the same thing. One younger (alcohol), and her older brother (fell off a ladder trying to check on his flat roof, during a rain storm)...I'm sure, like her, you miss them terribly.
You all are so awesome bringing community together and sharing your home and projects! It warmed my heart ❤️. Creative filming and Dino made his appearance 🦖.
6:10 TO 6:18 It was enjoying a quick ride on a Hog of a bike! Now guys like Jonathan would just see a riderless mini bike and wonder how it is working and going without a rider on it... Many hands make quick work! Many Thanks to each volunteer who participated! It turned out to be a great day!
So exciting!!!! Hope you were able to get enough plaster to this awesome crew!!! Also hope all are, or become, Homies. Praying for a thousand homies!!! YES!!! 🙌🏼💕
That's awesome, having everyone come out to help you. What a great thing. Teaching others on how you do everything. Definitely do this again. We all love seeing your accomplishments. Glad you all had a good time. 👍
Wowww, what a day for you and your family! In every way. A big applausse for your dancing Dino! Can’t stop smilling over this one. Hey, he can ride….. Thanks for your video’s,
Thank you for bring us, your subs, along on your ride! We are getting an education in the process. Nine Nine is a great supervisor! You guys are working Smart allowing others to come help you work & learn, & making new friends. Nine Nine needs an Agent Eighty Six to help supervise. Is that telling my age? You guys already got smart!
ADORABLE!!! That was so much fun to watch. We have hosted a plaster party with family and friends and of course it was wonderful. We have often thought of inviting strangers but haven't. We are hoping your next invite to help you We can come. Great video. Beautiful people. Thank you.
Oh my gosh the first ever meet up work party!!!!! Wooooooooooooooo! Looks so beautiful, coming together so lovely!! What a great team of worker bees!! Go 🦖!!! 💙🐾💜🎊💕💝💖💙⭐️💙🎉💞💞💝⭐️💙
Awesome to see all that plaster go up on the bags. I miss the bags but I'm looking forward to the end of the plaster and what comes next. LOL Thanks to all the work crew. Y'all really rocked it.
Looks like you had a great time and got a lot down. Hope everyone learned something and appreciates what your trying to accomplish. Loved the extra special friend in the beginning slowdown. Lol
Bonjour la famille. what an outstanding vidéo with a larger community at large. Strangers on foreign land gave you all a helping hand and what a successful day. gloves, hats, water, wind and sand, what more can a community of hooman's ask for. by the way, @ 06:15, I spotted the Cochise County T-Rex merrily motoring along the lane as the eldest daughter guided her siblings back home. You're exhausted, but hands of plaster ahead in the circle game. Enjoy your weekend, well deserved.
I bet you got a lot of comments, "you make it look easy" this is a lot of hard work! But you do make it look easy, and I know it is hard work. Thank you ALL for showing us your life, and sharing your love Stay safe
We’re just so used to it it doesn’t seem that hard but trying to explain all the details we realized, yeah…it’s not that easy to teach. Just takes lots of practice.
Looked like a fun time... Would have loved to have met all those people and see how far they had come. Maybe next time introduce everyone? Looking forward to the next one. Great job guys!
I am so sorry I missed this day. I was just a few hours late getting into AZ. I arrived at Maricopa just as the lunar eclipse was waning. 53 hours on a train was a lot more tiring than I imagined. I was soooooo close though. It looks like it was a lot of fun! Next day I had lunch at Talking Irons though. Another time. Cheers to all that DID make it! YOU guys are the heroes of the day!
