@drKopelman, I wonder if combining a series of microcoring procedures with a following modern type of a facelift could be something to explore by plastic surgeons in the never ending quest for impactful, but natural results with lesser scars.
@Dr. Kopleman, the redundant tissue/ excess skin is exactly what I experienced in the temporal brow area after one of your colleagues completed the GBL. These seemed like rather large wrinkles. I'm about 6 weeks post-op and I can feel these wrinkles in the temporal brow starting to dissipate a little, but not all of it. I was told this is 'skin accommodation', and my hope is that it will continue to resolve itself.
How does he avoid damaging canthal ligament and avoiding misplaced tension and or trauma to this delicate area causing asymmetry in eyelids?? Sounds a little ramboesque
@ Dr. Koplemam, I had a necklift and deep plain lower facelift on April 11, 2024. This coming Thursday, I will be 8 weeks post-op. I'm still not able to move my head from side to side very far, and I still have a lot of swelling in front of my ears, below my earlobes so much so that my earlobes rest on the swelling, making my earlobes tilt upwards. I also have a lot of swelling at the back of my jaw, and some swelling around the jawline. My swelling makes me look like I have the Mumps, as my glands all around my ears are very swollen.I followed my surgeons recovery instructions meticulously. My surgeon says that my swelling is normal. That's all I hear is that everything is always normal. The Mumps appearance at 8 weeks post-op just doesn't feel normal to me. Do you think what I'm going through is normal? I'm a very active fit male who turned 68 on May 3rd. I didn't look too bad before my surgery, but I saw that I was getting some looseness in my neck, so I wanted to get to it before it got worse, so that's what I did. If my swelling would just go down, I'd look great. I can tell that my jawline would be chiseled and my neck smooth and tight. I'm just feeling frustrated because of my swelling never changing and going down at all. Can you advise me. Thank you.
@@convid1941, I'm not quite sure that I should post the surgeons name quite yet. I don't want to defame his character at this stage, but if my swelling, that appears to be pockets of fluid, doesn't start to dissipate soon, and my surgeon continues to say that my swelling is normal, I probably will post his name and whereabouts. I know that some swelling is normal and can come and go upto a year, but the type of swelling that I have does not look and feel normal. You can tell that the swelling looks like pockets of fluid that never gets better, and I'm almost 8 weeks post-op. I feel that these areas need to be drained with a needle, but my surgeon hasn't brought that up yet. I guess that I'll have to bring it up. If these pockets of fluid swelling were gone, I'd look fantastic. I also believe that if the areas of swelling that look like pockets of fluid were gone, or at least decreasing, I'd be able to turn my head from side to side much better.
@@garytafolla2845 You need to to get a second opinion, don't just leave it as is, it might have long term ramifications. Hope you get better soon buddy.
