we actually have a similar saying in Mexico. my family is from teeny tiny ranches in the middle of nowhere in the mountains. very little electricity and just for light bulbs but no TV, internet, or phone signal. (I grew up in the US) occasionally, some newfangled technology will pop up (it can be anything like a swiffer to a smartphone) and we'll be showing a family member how to use it and their minds are blown and they'll say "de eso no hay en mi rancho" ("we don't have that at my ranch")
Truth be told, Beyoncé isn’t that popular in many Asian countries. Her songs are probably more well known. Like a previous comment mentions, there are other artists who are ranked higher in these countries. Doesn’t mean anything.. everyone has preferences
Ur are right, i was in Bali and Java 2 years ago, and on there billboard high up the sky was Grace Jones Tina Turner Eartha kitt and the legendary model noami, and i ask the tour how come they are up there and he said they are well love.then we when to a drag show and there was Tina Turner Grace Jones let not forget the noami walk it was heaven.
i’m vietnamese and that’s the truth , of course “doesn’t exist” is an exaggeration she used to emphasize it but tbh Beyonce in vn is not as well-known as other girls (the top tier would be Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande,Adele..) , Beyonce really doesn’t exist outside big city.even in big city, except USUK fans/listener, who would be able to name her songs correctly? they could have heard her song or know her name but two things never coexist🤣.It’s sad but true. You guys can come here and check it out
The joke here was that everyone now knows that Plastique has been in the states since she was 10yrs old. He knew who Beyoncé was, he just did bad in the Beyoncé challenge of her season and tried to play it off as if it was a cultural difference that caused it. Haha
@@pillbugm8914yeah I saw a comment saying it wasn't racism just now... Maybe it's not all race related, but it definitely plays a factor. Although it isn't only a Vietnam thing, Beyonce is definitely less famous than Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande or Adele here in Italy too.
People in America really shocked when Plastique said it, they thought like American celebrities were aired daily on television or something. We know them from the internet! 😭
@@cecegiles7753 cece stop being a slave to Bey and have a personality she really is not a God she uses the toilet like everyone else. And you saying that’s why she’s not going to China…. Like girl you’re broke self would never see Beyoncé so stop trying to feel special
@@thepinkonesoterrify623 I checked for Adams apple and its not there? Are you sure that's not just a beautiful woman and you are just mistaken? I am talking about the Vietnamese one
We have our own celebrities that showed up daily on TV and radio. Beyonce and other American stars is only appear on the news when they released a new album, or when they have some big news
Waw !!! Incroyable !! 😱 Celle avec la robe rose est juste magnifique !!! Si tu sais pas que c un drag on dirait vraiment une sublime vrai femme !!! Elle est magnifique!! ❤
When u go the drag shows in these countries They dont do Queen B, its Tina Turner Abba Grace Jones Eartha Kitt, and of course the legendary walk of noami Campbell.
I was in Bali And JAVA a 2 years ago and the only pictures on there billboard were THE Amazing Grace Jones, the legendary model noami Eartha kitt and ABBA and Boney M,so dont try to throw shade because she never heard of Queen B
You know what makes me maddest about this feed? That there are nothing but Plastique comments on this feed but no BIANCA comments... she paved her streets of golds she is walking on into the studio ya'll now.... Come on.... 😉😘
@@jceccaldi she wears stick on eyebrows, silly 😆 check a makeup tutorial/application by her. I’m pretty sure there’s usually a little filter on everything but she’s genuinely phenomenal.
Hahaha in that regards why would anyone care if someone is popular in usa or any other major city. We talk about the world population here that includes everyone so before replying get your facts clear just like your head I guess
@@mae64khlo why would anyone care similarly what people think in USA or any other major city. We are talking about world population that includes everyone. Get your facts clear just like your head I assume
In Latin America, Spain, Brazil and I can imagine that Asian countries like Thailand🇹🇭, Philippines 🇵🇭 they don’t know Beyoncé she’s not lying. Beyoncé is not the Icon Black Americans think she is in the rest of the world.
Americans genuinely think the world revolves around the U.S. and their celebrities lol Even when we know the celebrity, we only know the basics, like maybe one song or a couple of movies, not their entire life through gossip, or their impact on *american* culture and references.
I’m still confused why they were so shooketh about her not knowing beyonce as a child. In SEA in general, especially during that time, you only knew about these people in international news and only heard their music in music channel that played international music during certain times. She didn’t even have her own tv in her house. The Philippines was probably the quickest one among us during that time to grasp on any American media due to their direct ties with the US and that they also already spoke English. That whole episode was tone deaf af.
not really. plastique use a lot of make up because she doesn't look the same without it. marcia on the other hand... looks the same with or without make up. that's the huge difference between putting less and much make up. it's to change your facial features into the opposite of how you naturally looks
