yes, it works in the vast majority of patients getting this treatment. you will keep what you gained for the 1-2 years but it still may progress. it cannot completely stop hair loss. yes, it is like other meds in that respect.
it does not always work but i can say that you need to consider the best PRP you can. i use PRP that gives me about 60 cc of usable PRP that is clean of red and white cells with a 2.5 x platelet count. most places you would be lucky to get 10 cc of unknown quality. using Acell to me is important plus I believe that activating it with calicum gluconate and mechanical trauma with a 1 mm roller are important to make sure that the products work.
do what your doc says. i only use derma roller to activate it. don't see a point of continuing but i don't follow that protocol. don't know about when bimatoprost will be fda cleared.
Dr. Lam, this is wonderful information. I have have been using PRP along with my patients along with a glytone production line with great success with my patients. Th gyltone production has given a few patients of mine with alopecia totalis hair growth without constantly being on steroids. I wanted to incorp ACell into my PRP hair restoration. My two questions for you really are (1) what is your ratio of PRP to ACell? (2) without hair transplant and just straight injections what is you spacing distribution per injection? Great info. What percentage of patients get VISUALLY significant improvements with you using Acell + PRP at your office? And the other key question is, if you see improvements after the treatment, can it be assumed that you will keep what you gained (if continuing the treatment every 1-2 years) or is it just like other medicines that only delay the normal course of hair loss? I have male pattern alopecia and I'm miniaturizing all over the top.

Doc, if a man has lots of diffuse hair loss all over his head and thus is not a candidate for transplants, can A cell and PRP help a head's appearance....

Dr Lam, Hello sir. Hope you are doing fine. Just had my PRP treatment on 22.8. (without acell .She uses some other matrix or something instead). I have been using rogain 5% for five months now. Doctor suggested me to use Dermaroller with that. So I am doing that. with roller at night and without in the morning. She said I may start seeing the result after 1 month and should have it again after 3 months. so waiting eagerly :). now my question is what else can I do?when is latisse coming out?
I've been looking into doing this treatment alone for my thinning hair. I can't seem to find any information on this on hairtx.com. Do your offices offer this treatment by itself?
yes, they both work in different ways. each therapy separately helps. some people can get away with only propecia or PRP but that is up to a relationship with you and your physician to establish.
