Actually some plat 1 players immediately scoop when encountering people below plat 1 so everyone can reach plat 1 and get the gems. Source: I do that sometimes whenever I see people play decks other than Drytrons, Eldlich, Tri Brigade, etc.
@@BigBoyBOBO as someone climbing ranks with trains I know the pain of meta and we want to give back to society-- It doesn't even matter if you lose on plat 1 anyway lol
I love ur videos man. I got burnt out of MD at first really fast bc it was my first Yu-Gi-Oh experience but you got recommended to me and now I'm having a blast with code talkers, thanks my dude
@@crisdanpadilla9861 Yeah, I've been playing a 60 card pile that bricks half the time, and I end up playing against all kinds of random rogue/casual decks.
Oh man haha that best scenes that are close to one another for me are: • Drytron - No problem. I can deal with everything he plays out. • Guy with Thunder King, Macro Cosmos and lotsa set cards meme deck - This guy raigeki’d me. His setup’s pretty cancer. 🤣
@@communitylo3313 eldlich is pretty common, but is very weak, also played by really bad players that go minus five in their first turn xD, today i only saw a single adamancipator deck, but it sucks when their monsters aren't rock anymore lol, i haven't seen drytron, zoodiac, bird up in a while now. my meme zombie gemini deck is beating decks in plat 1 lol. last season was actually hard to reach plat 1, this time i just went there farming that annoying mission.
Hi! I just subscribed you a few weeks ago because I think you're really funny. Good luck with climbing ranks! I actually hit plat 1 with a non meta deck so you're completely relatable.
Ur videos are awesome, lots of YTer forcefully try to make things as entertaining as possible and scream a lot for that but with u it all feels genuine
There is actually a pretty decent Synchro engine in the Assault Mode support cards, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see it in Plat. But Assault Mercenary is not part of that engine so I don't have any idea what that guy was doing.
@@mars5914 or rather synchro in general are damned in plat. I swear synchro combo that is not adamancipator had so many chokepoint and too many step that it's unfunny. Meanwhile we have normal summon aleister
One infamous reason why some people (ngl me like doing it too) wait till they finished the board before surrendering is jst to waste their time and make them feel they waste their time. Imagine setting omni negates and otk then suddenly u dont get to finish him with your set cards, that must felt really bad even i felt that too when my opponent do it. Wont do it in real tournament for sportmanship tho.
The Summoner Monk user was most likely an Exodia deck. They use Treasure Panda and some 1 for 1 cards like Toon Table of Contents to grab Exodia pieces from grave by synchro summoning them off and getting them back to hand with drawn card effects.
These vids are always a good laugh. I played Blue Eyes last season cause I was a noob and was riding on nostalgia. Now I'm playing True Draco floodgate and it's going much smoother, with the added bonus that since I don't use an extra deck, people think I play exodia and scoop on the spot lol
@@Nightmster So far I only ran into 1 of these and lost first turn. But that was cause I forgot to switch from my Blue Eyes deck when I finished making the Draco deck
I know the big youtubers really malded at the new banlist and MD, but imo everytime I load MD up every few days or so I really do still have a lot of fun and see a good variety of decks even in high ranks. Another banger video
They wait so that people that waste their time playing solitaire don’t get the satisfaction of finishing the opponent off, making them feel just as confused and frustrated as you.
Plat is nice right now. You get sweats every now and then but there's a really wide variety of decks in pat right now . Especially with many players like me who reach plat 1 solely so that we can play whatever the fuck we want.
Yep as soon as I reached plat 1 I played only Toons, necroface, cinderella, predaplant, only handtrap deck etc. Non meta decks are just so funny to play.
Hi bro really like your videos, I also try to climb the platinum ladder but with heros, currently at plat 4 but I keep on getting clapped by tri brigade zodiac any tips for me lol?
I have No experience with Heroes, but If you have Ash blossom always Ash their fraktall. Stops Most of them in their Tracks, from my experience. Just stop them from stacking their GY
@Arun Subramanian I haven't played against the current meta yet but I imagine if you play against am opponent that summons multiple times or end board is 3 monsters use a nibiru, ra sphere mode, or a kaiju in your deck Edit: on mobile I tried to reply just to you but it kept @ing Bobo
Fight cancer with cancer, sometimes it is a must sadly, when my Crusadia deck was having a shitty day, even though it made most of the heavy lifting towards Plat I, I had to change to Phantasm Spiral, sometimes the only way to get out of a bad streak is to Macrocosmos the sh*t out of all those disgusting decks, not that Spiral is blameless but I never feel bad clapping Eldiich or Tri-Brigade with it plus the games tend to be long so two toxic decks are out of the way of other players.
Avoid tunnel vision, I was one having a nice streak, one win away from Plat 1 but I got nervous and played like shit, I lost and that pissed me off so I got into a new game ASAP trying to get back in track, it did not work I had already lost focus and from one win away I ended being 4 wins in a row away from the goal, it was only then I realized I was only going to dig myself into a deeper hole so that was it for the day. If things are going awry do something else, in or out of the game, then come back later or other day, that worked for me, it might even brought some luck my way since my last game before Plat 1 was an Exodia player that bricked so bad he just left.
Plat 1 is such a playground. I've been practicing with my N/R YosenKaiju deck for a while on ladder, and I have at least at 60%+ winrate. Stuff that tunnels onto one big boss like drytron or zoodiac lose really hard to kaiju+return to hand.
@@nguyentandung42 it's also why I hope they ban rhongo like whoever made that card I hope they honestly got fired no card should be completely unbeatable
@@meta7958 Rhongo, VFD, skill drain, IO and Banquet of millions especially need to go, without side decking in this best of 1 format some of these like banquet of millions is literally unfair
@@samsmith861 You can look up an N/R festival Yosenju decklist, it has all the basics and you can customize to your preference. I personally like to add 3 torrential tribute and a punishment+fossil wagon combo for backrow removal. I would also never recommend anyone to play this deck while climbing ladder, outside of N/R is it incredibly matchup dependant. It does fantastic against decks that end on one or two big boss monsters (drytron, tribrigade, zoo/zeus, cook stall) and OTK decks that either direct attack or require a monster on your side of the field (numeron, dragublion, inferno tempest OTK), but it is almost a guaranteed loss against every other deck. My high win percentage is a result of most players not knowing how yosenju cards work, and as the N/R tournament gets closer this deck will become a lot less powerful as more people learn how it plays.
2:56 Indeed it was 😂 Why Harpie's Feather Duster and not Lightning Storm? It's more versatile. I always wait, because: 1) I don't know if my opponent is going to fuck up the combo, especially if I have an interruption. 2) Most people don't know when to use their negates, they will negate the first thing they see.
Storm is more versatile for a strong go second turn, but is useless the moment you have a face up card on field (bad for decks with continuous spells). Harpie's is better when you can already somewhat deal with monsters and can't keep Storm live for long.
@@BigBoyBOBO it's nice that you remember and I decided to make a new account for the channel only got 3 vids so far though (also I would love to play against you sometime cause you seem like a really cool guy) ru-vid.com/show-UCRKiBMdskg9TRZNr8J8s61A
another banger video by BigBoyBOBO thank you for making these 6 mins so enjoyable. i would love if you could strech the videos to 10 mins but that's probably harsh on you
Anybody who uses the Summoner Monk is probably running an Exodia FTK. You were lucky to have Ash in your hand to stop its effect, otherwise you would have been forced to wait for a long time until your opponent gets all Exodia pieces. And yeah, this is what you'll usually see in higher ranks. People want to be efficient with their time so when they see that their combo has stopped too early or see they're about to lose they just quit immediately to go for the next match. It's very unfulfilling for whoever is winning unfortunately.
Code talkers as a "rogue deck" lol as a code talkers player myself I wouldn't say it's a rogue deck and actually pretty consistent to win and climb in plat if you don't get drytron'd or niburu'd
One reason people might be waiting until you would finish them could be spite. Idk how much hate there is out there for your deck but sometimes when im facing eldlich/drytron/similar decks and its clear that ive lost, Ill let them finish their combo and then scoop so they dont get the points from high value attacks and whatnot but I'm also holding up a cancer deck in the meantime
So as a code talker player i have to ask have you seen distantcoders list? And if so what is your thoughts as its the build i use and i get a ton of success with it
After I started using mathmechs I havent stopped I still use cynet code talkers Just with mathmechs for those xyzs n synchros they are so good mathmech multiplication +anything =Big Bonks
Idk why but the past 2 days Platinum has smoothed out. Instead of Tri Brigade or Drytron the worst ive ended up against is Banquet of Billions + D.D Dynamite burn. Its a weird but welcomed experience
Good watch as usual. I hate that surrender before I attack for game with access code I'm missing points for 5000+ damage. I personally take the hit and accept defeat if I got outplayed/misplayed.
The last 2 days rng has been wierd. I've played to wierd people playing meta decks and more meta deck but they bricked. My own deck bricked 4 times in a row and still ended up getting a rank up cause either my opponent bricked or they did wierd stuff
That last match looked like Exodia FTK, but one hand trap completely stops them a lot of the time. lol. If you lose coin flip and get no hand trap it's often rip for you though.
The anti-meta stun deck is auto win if you go first the chance to brick is low because of the draw power in the deck. to counter this deck is you have to top deck your luck to win. I play this deck too 😂 went 15-0 lose to Dragonmaid and Virtual World cause i brick couldn't draw any lockdown card just a bunch of equips card and pots.
Stun is super bricky though because no searches, also this deck is super fucking expensive with its thunder king, solemn cards and inspector broader and floodgates
I believe this video game me the strength to clap the opponent I just played against with a magic cylinder against his 4500atk blue eyes ultimate dragon. BigBoyBoBo energy
I also managed to jelly cannon another one of his monsters in the same duel then crash my ACT straight into his 0atk apaloosa for game. Absolute meme play but god it was BEAUTIFUL to witness
the explanation for that long surrender which sometimes I do.... cuz I let them play their full combo cuz I want them to waste time and that's just me being bitter due to their toxic decks or me bricking or me being stupid. lmao
i played so many copies of that fking 3 card FTK that I started playing Eld with a 7 card extra deck LITERALLY JUST TO STOP LOSING TO AN IMPOSSIBLE TO PREVENT FTK DX But at that point getting to plat 1 was piss easy = 3= now im on my second switch account~ Oh and btw. You TECHNICALLY should avoid plat 1 if you're playing for rewards cause ideally you wanna make it to plat 2, lose your way down to i think gold 1 works...then when new season starts you get bumped down to silver so you can get *Quickmaffs* like...about 1200 gems or something. but if you make it to plat 1 you cannot go back to 2 and you'll get bumped back to gold netting you only like 8 hundos instead.
