I actually searched for "Games like Deponia" and I found this video. I am totally enjoying Deponia but I absolutely despise Rufus. He is one of those protagonists that you love to hate. But the story is fun, the puzzles are engaging and I love the songs between episodes. After watching your video, I added Monkey Island, The Darkside Detective and Bertram Fiddle to my cart. Thank you for the recommendations.

Great choice! It was featured on the first Monkey Island alternatives video I did, this one is geared more towards the smaller Indie Games. Check the first one out as it’s got some fab games on there.

I think you definitively have to play Randal's monday. It is a great fun game and also a green tentacle appears in a shop.

Deponia has the most MI-like experience overall and I loved all the games. But yeah I can see why some people hate it, Rufus definitely sucks. Took me a while to get used to him too. It gets a bit better in the sequels though. Towards the end I think I might have even liked him a little bit.

I don't understand some of your picks (how Tunguska is related pirates or Monkey Island vibes?). My choice would be Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island. It has gorgeous graphics from William 'Bill' Tiller.

Kelvin and the infamous machine was pretty good. Not too hard, not too easy. I like that I can play it on my phone. These days with being so busy, its much easier to play on my phone when I have a few free minutes.

Its been awhile since i played it but, Jolly Rover is monkey island but with humanoid dog people. played almost all of these except 3 of them. I have a copy Secret Files: Tunguska waiting for me to play at some point.

Shocked no one has mentioned Hector! Not sure if you can even get that game series anymore. I've just finished Blytd slender threads prologue and am hooked. Cant wait for the release!

Wow! there's some on here I've never heard of that look great! I'm surprised that Beneath A Steel Sky didn't make the cut. It's a pretty solid pointy-click adventure that's freeware now. They've apparently even made a sequel recently that I still need to go try. So if you're looking for a *particularly* challenging, more adult adventure game, check it out!

Such a great game I agree! I almost added it but it’s from Revolution who did Broken Sword so thought they can’t be greedy and have 2 slots. I’ve done a complete playthrough of Beyond A Steel Sky on this channel and it’s really very good too. 👍🏻

Nice list! Haven't heard of any of these except Deponia, which I probably should give a try. I don't know what games remind me of Monkey Island. There's that Kaptain Brawe: A Brave New World, it kind of reminded med of Curse Of Monkey Island. As for older games I used to like Inherit The Earth, which rarely gets mentioned.

Ahhh I had Paradigm… but kept getting errors. I think the gameplay was super fast and I tried the recommended troubleshooting steps but it didn’t solve the issue. I had to uninstall it which was a bummer because I was looking forward to playing it 😢
