Love it there. We stayed at a beautiful resort in November 2023 loved it so much that we went back last month April -2024... Beautiful place & the energy is amazing.

Just stayed in Playa del Carmen for 5 wks..Been there a few times for several years...I stay near public beach toward other end.Aloft Hotel is a great spot with outstanding grocery an restaurants at street level)...I call 5th Ave a frantic Saturday Market atmosphere that goes from 9A to late evening. I recommend learning to say" No Gracias." Easy to travel to other areas like Tulum for the day via ADO. I eat at a great variety off places of 1 plus mile of 5th. Playa is a great walking city. Cenote visit is a must..A spiritual experience. Cenotes ( maybe 115) are connected by an underground river 120mis long archeologicalist discovered couple decades ago.

Wow, funny you guys are here at the same time as us. We were at Akumal yesterday and it was sooooo hot! There's a great place here called Yal Ku which has some great snorkeling. At Akumal you have to pay at the Dive shop to get access to the ocean and join a group to see sea turtles. We're next door at Secrets resort and I saw 3 here so far.

Love PDC 1st time I went was 30 yrs ago stayed on 5th ave. cost us 20 dollars a night. 5th ave was only a few blocks long

Cenote Azul looks stunning... Its like something out of a wallpaper.. 5th street in the morning and evening is so different, literally night and day😂... Also thats a big ass knife compared to the size of the burger... Yet another great video...

At about 14:15 Sarah noted you were headed back to Playacar. Playacar is at the south end of PDC. If one goes south of the ferry dock or Fundatores one would be in the neighbourhood of Playacar. I think Fifth Ave ends as one enters Playacar.

I was referring to Playa Car as the shortened nickname for PDC, not the actual neighbourhood :)

@@EricandSarah I suggest with due respect to you two, that you not use a nickname, of which, nobody has ever heard. You have followers and perhaps patrons who are counting on you for good info about place(s) you’re in. Never Playacar and much worse, never Playa. PDC works. I’ve even heard ‘Carmen’. I’m not always this anal. Best of luck in future efforts.

Mexican style burgers are 🤤🤤 the ingredients and preparation is another level. The meat/seasoning they use, avocado is just better. I loved them in CDMX.

Curious about traveling from Playa del Carmen to archaeology sites like chichen itza. I know stated travel times are not always accurate using maps or even bus schedules? I am currently wandering in Colombia for three months slowly on my way back to Ecuador. Love your channel and vibe!

The group Xcaret sells a bus tour to chichen itza which also includes tickets to the archeological site, a Mayan-speaking guide, lunch, a stop to a cenote to cool off and finishes with a short cruise around Valladolid before heading back to your hotel. Definitely worth it!

Hey Guys! I have a few questions about what GoPro equipment you use- just preparing myself for my solo trip in Mexico! How do you make the video full-screen? When I save my vids onto Quik, there is a black line at the top and bottom reducing the size and inevitably the quality! Perhaps it's the setting you use? pls help haha Thanks in advance :)

If you’re filming horizontally on the GoPro, it’s probably just showing it on your phone differently. But it shouldn’t actually change the quality. Is it the same if you flip your phone sideways? It doesn’t fill the screen because your phone is vertical. Alternatively, film something vertically on your GoPro and then try it. Other than that, I’m not sure!

We love the variety of emergencies it covers (both medical and travel). We also love how flexible it is… we can change the dates at any time so we only pay for the days we actually use. And it’s affordable… there are other companies out there that maybe cover more/higher amounts, but we’re fairly healthy people so SafetyWing is perfect for us and any emergencies we might have. Ya right dude. They are trying to sell stuff just like any major tourist area. That doesn’t mean anything negative, it just gets exhausting. This is how it is in a lot of international tourist destinations like Thailand India Bali etc etc.

It’s an E-SIM, so you don’t actually need a physical SIM card. When you purchase the service, all you have to do is scan a QR code and it will load it onto your phone. You can keep your old SIM card in the phone so you can switch between them.

It’s lovely! We were only there the first half of December but the evenings were perfect… shorts and tshirt weather. Not too windy (although the beach is always a bit windy). The water is also very warm!

Spending every year in both it depends. Beach is nicer yes but unless your in hotel zone which costs a fortune tulum city isn't as good and taking cabs down to the beach is costly. Playa is more convienient less expensive then tulum strip and has good regular bars unlike tulum where its 100 for an event plus 25 for a drink.

Not at all you obviously haven’t traveled much beach is far away hard to get to the sand isn’t soft, more dangerous no good hospital or vet only supermarket and gym is in tuk tulum. Horrible infrastructure half the roads aren’t paved lots of corruption. More expensive too especially taxis
