This is not just a food & travel channel .... This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman! 🥰🥰🥰
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ Tell God And Jesus And His Crew To Repent They Are Failing Us And Are Allowing Evil To Continue OH That's Right It The Humans Fault. Natural Law Back To The Show.
My husband and I were in Playa del Carmen in Nov 2022. We’ve been to the first two places in this video-El Fogon and that stand alone taco stand. Both places were really good and I remember the al pastor at El Fogon to be really delicious! Thank you for highlighting some of the best taco places in Playa del Carmen.
I never get tired of Sonny's content! Lover of both channels but LOVE how we get even more of Sonny's humor on this channel..... Having Both channels is a Brilliant mix, dear sir, and I thank you!
They give you two tortillas per taco when they use corn tortillas that were not nixtamalized (processed with some Ca compound) which makes them less elastic, more prone to breaking. Nixtamalized tortillas come 1 per taco.
I cant help but see BEFRS and get sad there isn't some cheesy pun in the title, like "Sonny side up: The Best Ever Food Review Show!" 😆🤣 I absolutely love this channel.
That salsa verde you loved at the end is what we call "fake guacamole". Very popular in many mexican taquerias all over the country. It's essentially "deep fried" jalapeños and garlic, all blended with neutral oil (instead of water). Bit of lime juice, cilantro, etc. are optional. Way cheaper than making fresh guac and it's similarly creamy and almost as tasty.
I was just there a few days ago! Finally, someone who whole-heartedly shares my love for Mexican Taco on 10th! Those sauces are spicy and their quesadillas carried me through many a late night craving. Great video 👍🌮
Tacos! Tacos!! Tacos!! The most perfect comfort food there is. Always love that Sonny just blends in and provides a great video of the local culture. Please keep it going!
Honestly though, Mexican food not only delicious it is also a feast for the eyes with all the colors. Only food that can make my mouth water like this without taste or smell. Never change Mexico.
Nice taco tilt Sonny! The last time I was in Playa del Carmen was 38 years ago. It was a one dirt road town with about a dozen shops. My how things have changed!
you have to have one of the greatest jobs ever. I effing love this. Thanks for letting me travel from home with comedy from the comfort of my living room.
We just got back from filming in mexico and El Fogon in Playa Del Carmen is the best! We had a great evening and can't wait to share our video from El Fogon! There was also a little stand near 1st ave and 12 st that was amazing!
The taco is probably one of the greatest food inventions of all time. Delicious, flavorful meats, a few onions and cilantro, and a wide variety of amazing sauces all wrapped up in a hand-held plate that you can eat. The tortilla is the perfect meat delivery system. Hands down one of the best foods. I moved to SoCal and a large part of that was because the diversity in foods. But damn do I love me some tacos. Probably more than pizza, to be fair.
"probably more than pizza"--- woh woh, now slow down there buddy, that's one serious thing to say. pizza is like the best thing ever, everyone loves pizza. i wish here in germany you could get tacos, that rival pizza. unfortunately tacos is not a thing here really, especially good tacos i dont think they even exist anywhere in europe. or at least it's very rare. apparently mexico just too far away. tortillas, huge wraps, is prob the only mexican thing that we know. sad stuff
Tacos are the best food ever. Anthony Bourdain even said so. But stop putting pineapple on a damn taco! It's typical in Guadalajara, but the first time I experienced that I was like Nooooooo!
@@congresssux9766 yes but have you heard about things called "restaurants"? luckily for us, we have italians living here, that know their shit and provide germans with good pizza. ofc the worlds very best pizza is found locally in italy, but doesn't mean you can only find shit pizza in germany.
The way they cook the meat is the same way we cook the meat while making döner. It seems so similar to me and it resembles the cultural similarity between many nations. As always, love you content, keep it up! And btw, I would really want to visit Mexico one day!
Yes it is, and even though a visible amount of immigrants were Lebanese, in this culture was used by many nations in the Ottoman Empire, meat spinning is from the turkic culture, but Lavash Bread and the sauces/ salads that makes the döner the döner are coming from many nations such as Arabs, Lebanese, Armenians, and Greeks.. As I said, I am looking forward to learn about every culture, and I love Lebanese cuisine as it is one of the most dominant cultures that affected the Byzantine and Ottoman culinary. As always, Lebanon is a great country, I hope I will be able to visit it in the future.
@@Papermarioenjoyersince2001 from the history I have read, Syrian immigrants brought it to Puebla, Mexico in the 1940s(I think ?) but adapted it to the local meats and spices. They were first called ‘tacos árabes’ and the original place still exists! I love Turkish food, very, very good. 👍
@City Nat Yes, one of the centers where people migrated from was modern day Syria, and they also had a big effect on the development of modern day taco recipe. The migration started in 1900s, and kept happening for a long time.
I agree, but they're unfortunately rough for people like me with IBS, and most places where you find the best tacos in Mexico aren't gonna have lavatory facilities to comfortably accommodate the after effects of eating said tacos...
Lmao I love ya sunny not great food reviews from all over the world, also great humor and for course an absolutely outstandingly amazing crew!!!! ✌️👍🤘✌️👍🤘❤️❤️❤️
Since your last trip to Mexico your Spanish is so improved. You nailed tortilla! 🤙🔥😉. If you lose a nip when you're cooking does it become nipales? 🤔🤣🤣. 11:10 trippy it looks like a green screen
This video is a testament to anyone who wants to start their own channel but feels restricted because they don't have expensive equipment. Sonny and his wife filmed this on a phone! And the quality is great. You don't need much to start, just work with what you have and the rest will come :)
Love this channel so much. First video I saw was when he let african tribe members try american candy, then this video. I love how he always has a translator with him and is always doing proper accents. He’s funny and outgoing while still being respectful. Gained a subscriber from me for sure
The best tacos I’ve ever had were from a shack on a side street in Puerto Vallarta. My husband is Mexican and grew up in LA and he even said they were the bomb.
This is so randomly funny hit sonny ALWAYS gives the biggest hints that he’s done Drugs before lol. He’s truly hilarious without trying. Also, this episode is great.
Been watching his RU-vid channel for year's, and they ALWAYS make me smile and a little hungry!. Well for some food not all that he eats or drinks haha.... enjoy your vacation friend.
Wish I could travel all over the world eating food! HEHE, we just showcase food in Texas! Love his content, modeled my channel partly on how he creates videos! Your an inspiration! :)
Omg when you show us yummy food👉it is reallly yummy ! Food ! 👌 🌮 next level but the best part of your videos it’s how funny you are and how the video is edit 👌👌 😂😂😂
I'm not hungry right now but your videos always make me want to stuff my face on stuff I haven't tried before. I think the best I can do here is an Old El Paso box kit right now, but Mexico is a place I've wanted to go to for years - but nobody wants to travel with me! The standard reply is "I don't want to get shot", which is sad, because all they're believing ins the bad press.
if u want a similar green sauce.... 6 jalapenos 4 serranos 1/2 onion 3 cloves garlic 1 tbsp salt 1 lime (optional) 1 cup of vegetable or canola oil put 2 tbsp of the oil in pan and brown peppers. when peppers are browned add onion, garlic, salt and cook until onions are slightly browned then set aside to cool or just throw into blender as well as the oil from the pan. then slowly add the rest of the oil while blending until it looks like in the video...there's no avocado in it but u can definitely add some
