In this video we head out on a road trip, finally! We drive to Playa Flamingo from Samara, Costa Rica which is just over 2 hours to drive to. Playa Flamingo has a lot of condos and resorts, but no real town like Playa Samara. We were here at the tail end of low season as well as during a tropical storm so there wasn't many people around. we ate at Coco Loco, right on the beach. We hope you enjoy this video!

So awesome to be reminded off coco loco! My wife and I were there the first week of March. We were invited by friends who had spent 2 winters there. We stayed in the exact building too! Loved the sunsets!

Great video again! Once again the food looks so appetizing. Good to see you guys finally got out on the road once more. I see you SUV is still holding together. The boys looked so happy to be with Mom & Dad on an adventure,.......they are getting big. I've seen some videos of Hurricane Eta, and even though it caught the tail end of CR, there was quite a bit of damage. I've booked 4 weeks holidays for all of October next year to come down to Costa Rica, so I hope to make a stop in Samara to stay with you guys at Sea Casa for a couple of days as part of my scouting mission to see where I want to begin my retirement in late 2022. I will be looking for a small 2 bdrm house to rent, near a beach, when I do.

Thanks, yes the food was great and the boys just keep growing! Samara area got hit pretty hard with rain and a bridge washed out. That's sounds great, definitely come stay with us next October

Thanks, yes it would be cool to see it during dry and high season, I bet the sunsets are amazing. We're going to save up so we can go stay in Las Catalinas and be able to film it

@@TheDufresnes Next time, if you get a chance, you should go check out the sunset from the Gracia restaurant at Mar Vista. The food there is great, but the view from the restaurant pool is spectacular!

Do you need a car rental for playa flamingo. If so any tips on car renting. Should i book when i arrive at airport or in advance ? Or is uber pretty reliable?

Car is needed yes, vamos is the best option, there is no uber that we know of outside of the cities

Depends on the situation. In Samara we don't give anything as we know the area and live here but the guy we paid helped me park. At McDonald's a guy watched our car with all of our stuff in it and I paid him. Whatever you feel is fair.

Our license place ends in a 3, restrictions are based on what number your plate ends in and then correspond with a certain day.

No it's because of the plandemic, they still have the driving restrictions in play during the week but got rid of the weekend ones
