Good interview, Alex! Was looking forward to interviews on the west L.A gangs. Plz do more on the Playboys, By your Self's, Marvin's, Mansfield's, School Yards, West Boulevards, Geer Gang, Graveyards and Venice Shore lines. Would like to hear more on their history
I read about the Venice Crips and their beef with a couple of Sureno gangs in the 90s and idk if it was 50+ people shot or killed but either way that’s intense as fuck and right next to some of the most valuable property in LA
StreetTV you have to interview one of the founders from PBG, to let the world know why we started PBG. We were going to be called something else before playboy💯👍🏾 iam Pirate 1st aka Mr. Tear Drop
What it do my turf Daddy? This your son Alci. Im glad you could tell some of the turf s**t we went through. From you and Shark living w/ us along w/ other Big Homies being around us all the time showed us alot that we needed to know about the game. Me coming from the Eastside and South Central not knowing about the West was definitely a big help. Remember you usta let me wear your big gold chain to Dorsey? Lol! Anyways, I love you Pops and stay strong Big Homie.

My cousin went to Wilshire Crest, John Burroughs, L.A. High, and Fairfax. He was a couple years older than this dude. I had family on Cloverdale, Cochran, and Detroit, all the way back to the 60's and 70's. We use to come from the Eastside, to go to all of the house parties in the area back in the mid to late 70's. Just about every weekend to hook up with the beauties from Fairfax, Hamilton, Uni, and etcetera. The Sylvers lived in the neighborhood also 😼
+prettyricky2001 Not to mention the history of other West LA hoods like Pico Godfather Crips, Bible Crips, how the second merged with those two former Blood hoods and how they turned into School Yards.
I was raised around all them hoods. 1947 Hauser Blvd. A nigga was surrounded by Marvin's, School Yard, Gear Gang, Home Boyz, and if you caught the Blue Bus on Pico it was all the gangs in that area.

15:54 "Everybody that was in TS when they got out if they didn't get killed they were in prison and most of them got life." That's a powerful statement because at the time I bet they didn't truly feel that it would pretty much be down hill after that. Listen to all the names he calls. They were street legends so they were in their prime of doing what they were doing; making their name, building their set but it was all for not. But that was the time in YTS where they had once chance to try to make it right. I know the cards were stacked against most of them but if they could have just seen the fate 30 years down the road.

West L.A. is home! Bedford St, Shenandoah st, Garth Avenue, Corning Street, Holt Ave, Chariton St are the blocks! Thriftown liquor store, Royal Burger that used to be next door, Yum Yum donuts and AM/PM Liquor store on La-Cienega and Guthrie, Al's Sandwich shop, Taco Bell where we used to rumble in the parking lot after school, and Campos Tacos on Robertson Blvd! Home!
FACTS! No you didn’t say Royal Burger 🍔 next to Thrifttown! You a “G” for that one Homie.... What about Baskin & Robbins On Robertson next to Robertson Park 🤣
@@Jhud72 Yes sir! A lot of people slept on Royal Burger, but they were bomb!, and Baskin Robbins was the shit too!, and I think they're still there, but I got one for you: do you remember that lil liquor store in the Baskin Robbins strip mall called Bev-Wood Market?, that used to be on the corner of Robertson and 18th street?

my uncle first generation of West Boulevard it's a shame to see all them gangs beef with each other over there now they really follow that cold with crip love
Shout out to the Miracle Mile. No need for gang banging with all the beautiful women saturating the area in my day. As far as hands go Cloverdale was no joke! No affiliation needed! #endgangviolence
Dude, okie dogs, and the Pico strip,on a Friday ,Saturday night was about as live as the Shaw, a lot of vet's came through there, dope money was everywhere, dice games, major up's and downs over there. Ode' to youth...
@@sixfiveblocc3065 😅😅😅 The only activity i see in W.LA is wst blvd, geer, and schoolyard niggaz.... 18s out near the other side if the 10 fwy unless they hiding/incognito. 18s are in many places i can name, even knew one off 3rd/normandie but west LA they NOT. Too many black home owners, residents and businesses still in W.LA... meshed with some white asian and jews. Hauser/san vicente, pico/redondo, mansfield/redondo, olympic/la brea etc etc
They always treated me right I used to hang out on Cadillac all the time in the late 80s when the Playboys we're really strong don't know much about them now but back in the day we had some good times

Kev Mac is more authentic and asks more of the right questions because of it, but i can tell you love the culture and incorporate proven methods/new tech to stay competitive. It aint Kev, but I respect it.
Damn I can Remember everybody over that Side Of Town,My Cousin Denise & Her Husband Johnnie Lived Over that way & Before PBG they used to claim GraveYard Crip! 😂 They lived off of La Cienega & Guthrie Right Next to the 10FWY & Behind The Hospital. I have not been over that way since the 1992 Rebellion 😂
Your confused. PBGs never claimed graveyard the only thing they ever claimed aside from PBG was La Cienega Crip which was very short lived... and LBG Lil Boy Gangstas which was the younger generation before TLC, and the females claimed PlayGirl PGG
It ain’t even that Deep Homie, because those are Family Member’s Of Mine from SouthWest Los Angeles & come to find out We all went to Mount Vernon Junior High Now Johnnie L Cochran Middle School! GraveYards was around that Area Near Mount Vernon Jr High or Arlington Heights Elementary, where Karate Kid Movie was Filmed @ Back in like 1984,when I went to Mt. Vernon!
