Hi Matthew. The original Mono/Poly was my first "real" poly. I still miss it and am very tempted to buy the Behringer because it sounds very close to the real thing. So I'm tempted ..... but there is always something else tempting us, isn't there? Typical is that most demo it without effects. That says a lot in itself. It might not be Moogish fat but it has a lot of character and presence anyway.
My tip: For the best poly sounds put all the oscillators on PWM and select unison share. On the original it somehow still thickens the sound if you play three note chords when comapred to doing the same with poly mode switched on. I suspect it then doubles the dominant note in the chord on 2 oscilattors at half amplitude, thus providing a sort of pseudo 2 osc per voice effect. . Very nifty. I don't know if the Behringer replicates that though. Please let me know if it does.
Torn between this and Monologue! Monopoly sounds more lusciously analog.... But mini log has the ability to save patches. Serious dilemma! I have the Behringer Odyssey already, but the inability to save patches is one reason I don't use it as much as I would in my mixes. Sometimes I just enjoy noodling and then the lack of a memory is fine, but for extended or multiple recording sessions I prefer being able to save sounds and recall them verbatim to how I created them. Serious dilemma! ARRRRRGH! 😆
I hope you got the Monopoly, Minilogue is thin af and those keys dude...1 lfo only and after one day you won't fiddle around with the logue. boring af, wether lush sounds nore thicc bases. for acid or non musicians ok I think.
