THAT IS SOMETHING I WANT WITH BL4, since its "Supposed" to be the ending of the franchise (not including spinoff games) which im sure will still come, I want there to be modding with bl4, like officially, I have a few buddies that work at gearbox, and apparently A LOT of people there love seeing that bl2 12 years old is still thriving and getting mods, even though its not open source. I HOPE AND PREY that they will listen and give us tools and or even the SDK for it, that would make bl4 unique and even if it "Flops" the community can make it PERFECT!
