Playing Catch-up | Teacher Vlog | Week 10 

Oh my gosh! The architecture back east! I live in the southern plains. We do not have old architecture like that. So cool! The parade reminded me of scenes from the town in hocus pocus.

I am going through the exact same thing! I am on day 17 of being sick and have missed so much school! I am just starting to feel better, and I am overwhelmed by what I need to do to catch up!

Start a trade system for your pencils, have a community bin for the ones that are found on the ground and around the room, then give each student 2-3 pencils. Let them trade their pencil out when they are done for a new one. If they loose it they have to go to the community bin and use what is there or find one to use/trade. It works great my students use them until they no longer fit in their hands.

Hi Bridgette! We are departmentalized in first grade, so I teach math all day. This is the first year I have done this, and I feel the same with my breaks...I really never feel like I get one...my adrenaline just goes goes goes all day...I don't know why????I was wondering if you can or have you made a video on flexible grouping? We are struggling with kids being at so many different levels....but we still have to teach the core standards....yet we only have each group for an hour...is there a way to just have them in small groups and still teach the core?? Help please

Amazing video! I plan on going into college majoring in Elementary Education. I wanted to do Early Childhood Education but out of my top three colleges, only one has ECE. I figured that it is a great major to be apart of, but if I do Elementary Education it will open me up to a broader range of Job opportunities working with grades 4-6 instead of just Pre-K through 3rd. So it's kinda like the best of both worlds. I do have a question. Since there aren't associate programs for Elementary Education like there is for ECE where you can work at a daycare of preschool after completing it, what jobs do you feel would be worth it while tending to college? What steps did you take during your college journey? Obviously there has to be some general source of income, and automatically going in for a Bachelor's means Ill be restricted from that youthful environment the associates degree offers. When you are in college, where were you working? I could really use this information! It's so hard to phrase it correctly online!
