Clicked on the stream, got an ad, loaded in to "see ya haha" and buffering. I was so confused like is my internet messing up? Nope just worst timing ever on my part lol
@@sarahr9894SHIIIIIIT! I thought it was just a silly reference to how popular The Who were/are! 😱 As said by another commenter, not something most 90s kids would get… even just ‘ who ‘ The Who are (in the 90s I wouldn’t have). Maybe coz Stine is from Cleveland that they mentioned it also 🤷♀️
My sis and I as well! So nostalgic.. Doesn't it seem like @papameat never played this game before? It was like he was surprised by everything.. As a die hard I remember every nook and trany of this game. Yet I haven't played the game in over 25 years!!!!😮
This was my absolute favorite game as a kid. Such an underrated masterpiece that never gets enough attention!!!! So happy it got some love today, thanks for the nostalgia hoss!
That monster that chases you through the coin maze after using the secret entrance in the trash can scared the BEJEEZUS out of me and my bro when we were kids! We were horrified by that pig squeele noise! Lol!
@@Joshpower57Lol, it does feel like Doom doesn’t it just? Never thought about it til watchin Papa play, but I guess the developers thought that kids would like Doom if it was made into an age appropriate form 😊 The Recyclops is far scarier than all of Doom combined however, absolutely agree. Scary as a kid & I’m still antsy even watchin the maze bits 😆💜🖤🧡
I'm pretty sure at 55:42 and throughout the whole game that it was Frank Welker the same guy that did the sand tiger in Aladdin, but didn't see him in the cast. Jeff Goldblum is actually in the game as Dracula, I thought that was pretty cool, but for 1996 this game is the crème of the crop! Thanks for playing dude!
I've still got my original copy of this game. From back when pc games came in a big box. I must have played it through a couple of times because seeing and hearing it again is giving me flashbacks.
It would take too much time and attention away from the other content he puts out, and I wouldn't change that for the world, so im fine with things as they are now.
Holy hell getting totally confused by the pumpkin puzzle was hilarious. Though it did bother me how not thorough he was at exploring the initial Werewolf Village. Used to spend ages in that section alone.
You probably won’t see this but your humor is what my girl and I need. The kid with bloodshot eyes from your camping story still kills us 😂 I saved it as a sticker!
You had me laughing hard as fk .. from the beginning !!! “ dear lord save this child.. you make me laugh soo hard you are funny and this game is a masterpiece
Nick's fucking fingers are going to give me nightmares. That pointer going like 40 degrees up reminds me of myself and the horror that is arthritis. Much love Hunter and Nick for the Papameat channel. Solid content always.
@ericdaniel1064 aww I am so sorry, Eric. I was kind of thinking th same thing! Arthritis especially starting in your 30s sucks!! I hope you feel better, man.
I think this is my favorite thing you’ve made in a while. It’s an instant classic. The game is great and the play through and commentary was a blast. It’s now something I come to to put on in the background for comfort or to pass the time. Play more like these please! These are my favorite! Please more
You have no idea how awesome it is seeing you bring light to this classic. It was one of my favorite games when I was a kid. Love the videos, Papa Meat always delivers!!
The ads I get for papa meats videos are the most insane ads I’ve gotten. From Muslim cult ads, climate change ending the world and people on the street asking people if they’d let their child get surgery to become trans… wtf are these ads!? Lmao
This game is a core memory for me. I vividly remember playing this with my cousins in the early 2000s.I had no idea what game it was or what it was about, but the visuals in this video bring it all back. Thank you for restoring my childhood memories!!!
The best part about listening to Meat is hearing all the characters he’s voiced in his animations over the years as he gets pumped up or comments on something.
Dude that monster is genuinely horrifying. I would've stopped playing had I encountered that. Everything else is fun, but that monster just running at you is insane lol.
Wowie yowie! I'm 34 and was the prime age to play Escape from Horroland when it came out (around 10). I loved this game so much as a kid and played it a crap ton. This is such a treat. 👹 Also, no joke, my game actually froze on the scene where Lizzy emerges from the freezer and mutters "it was freezing in there." This caused her the be stuck in a perpetual loop repeating that very line. Pretty surreal and creepy. I'm about 13 minutes in and I'm amused Hunter's already in the museum's sewers. This should be a fun trip. 😂 Oh, also, I was amused by Madison Storm's name, since my name is also Storm. Haha
Exactly, also 34 here and I used to love this game. Still remember what the CDs looked like, with one being deep purple and the other pinkish. Sad he never got in the werewolf's house to see all the cool stuff in there like the ID with pictures of all 3 forms or the picture of the werewolf grandma or the evil teddy bear.
@@JoeTACTotally. I loved the werewolf house. There were a few other pretty cool things he missed, too. And I remember the discs pretty well, too. Miasmic clouds. Those were pretty cool.
@@JoeTAC I just found this and thought maybe you'd appreciate it. I knew about the hangman book (which Hunter played) and the Tanks game at the end, but I didn't know about the other minigames. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KwPQlEO3Nw8.html
Joined right as you finished but I'm just glad to get another great video to watch especiall goosebumps loved the books as a kid still have like 40 of them in a cardboard box somewhere.
Fun story: I was at the NY AutoShow a couple years ago (wearing a Goosebumps shirt) and I hear “Nice Shirt” from behind me, I turn around and it’s R.L. Stein! I asked for a picture with him , which honestly seemed to make him a bit uncomfortable, but he said yes and they are some of my favorite photos to this day
Honestly can’t believe I actually watched this whole thing… what is life 😭 But overall surprised at how decent the game actually was for its time. I miss these oldschool computer games. Scooby-Doo: Showdown in Ghost Town was 🔥 I also remember playing this horror Clip art game I can’t remember but you made like dungeons with stickers.
When I was a kid, I wanted to play this game so badly. The box art was so hype that it totally sold me. But the family pc was a mac so I never did get to play it.
oh my god papa whaaaaa!!! a few of my cousins, my sister and i used to play this game, we would make progress on our own then share with each other how to get past the different puzzles! thanks for the hilarious trip down memory lane haha
