Yes, dogs are good for kids in a lot of ways. But you have a baby needing fed every 2-4 hours and is literally helpless with all their basic needs PLUS exercising, training, playing, and cleaning up for a puppy? No shame on anyone who doesn't want both those responsibilities at once. Waiting til the kid is older is fine.
My sister tried to do a puppy and her first baby at the same time. Now she's got 4 kids and a full grown German Shepherd who has proven herself immortal by eating (and subsequently being rushed to the vet) literally everything she can get herself into. Wait until the baby's older, then get the puppy. Your energy reserves will thank you for it.

I was *encouraging her as a soon - to - be - mother* because i've been following her journey since she announced it online and you can see how deeply she loves the baby before its even born. Just because I complimented and encouraged her back to back doesn't mean they're interrelated.
I love the idea of a gift after having a baby! Of course, having that sweet baby and supportive family are the best gifts, but your body just went through a lot to grow and birth a human (no matter how it’s done!) and you’re continuing to heal. I think it’s so sweet for a partner to show their appreciation in any way. And how could you turn away a CHANNEL bag? That cracked me up!

This is brilliant. I’ve never heard of a Push Present before… I have questions. 1. How long has this been a thing? 2. Is this typically from your partner? Or family or friend? 3. What if you have a c-section? Can you still claim your gift? 4. Is it too late for me to claim mine? (My youngest is 21.)
@JUST SAM you deserve as many push presents as the number of kids you birthed. C section counts as well of course, you carried your child 9 months and went through the pain of a major invasive surgery.
Yeah, my youngest is 15, the oldest 25, and there's 3 in between. Push presents weren't really a thing then. Social media has brought that to the forefront.

I mentioned the idea of a Push Present to my husband and he said, “isn’t that what a baby shower is for?” I said no, that is for the baby. It’s in the damn name! I just love the idea of a present just for the mama for all of her hard work of literally making and birthing a human being. I’m pretty sure my window has closed though.

Fun fact:Tesla model x is like 1st class cuz the seats can go down and the door (at the back only where the middle seat is) you can lift up the door! You can also warm it up and it lets you play games and you don’t need to play music on phone you can play music on the screen and an iPad is in it for example a song you want to play blind by sza just type it in the music thing and it will play
