I heard Animal Well comes out on May 9th and is available for pre-order. Its like Dark Souls meets NBA 2k, but not gameplay wise, just in the depth of lore
@@bonebrothyt is the bat in the main game? I got the first ending and haven’t played much after that because I honestly am not sure what to do next, but tbh I didn’t find the game scary at all
Took me like 12 hours to figure out you can infinite jump on the bubble wand and some asshole decides to spoil it for critical within moments of him getting it.
Yeah after I did it I figured many people found it quickly because its really easy to do. Doesn't make it less frustrating that some child thought they were so smart they had to solve the puzzle for the big streamer. Also not interested in watching a streamer that's ok with people spoiling puzzles for them in a puzzle game
@@richardhunter9779calling Tunic a Metroidvania is like calling Zelda a Metroidvania. There are similarities for sure but not exactly the same thing. They’re action adventure games.
@Rotomoo Tunic is closer to Zelda, Animal Well imo is like Metroid + Dark Souls Logic, not every "boss" needs to be challenged immediately, sometimes you can simply walk around, or go the other way. Every direction is the correct direction, back tracking is essential.
I stumbled into the solution of that puzzle and then realized I don't remember which room the cat was in. So I spent an hour lost and confused, checking the map and trying to figure it out before I quit lol
Not really that ironic. They have to allocate a significant portion of their attention towards not only keeping up with chat, but maintaining an "entertaining" personality the entire time. Most people that are exceptionally skilled at video games are too frickin stupid to hold a conversation at the same time
To be fair…90% of youtubers/Twitch streamers are the dumbest people on earth. When all you do is sit in a room all day you tend to get dumber as time goes on and their egos inflate lol.
@@omegacxv8344I understand that's what live streamers do but I've watched plenty of streamers who are able to read chat without interrupting gameplay too much or read chat less.
@@DannyFragss obviously its not the same. But in a game like this you have multiple ways to pass the challenges and there are hidden things you most likely havent found in your first playthrough, so because of those even playing again should provide some fresh, interesting experience.
I'm kind of surprised he didn't notice firecrackers gave light in dark rooms. There was that one shadow in the dark rooms where he threw one and it lit up the darkness.
Sometimes i feel like youtubers pretend to be confused to drag out content and keep people in chat typing lol Charlie is pretty smart its weird to see him get lost easily
I’ve seen some lateral thinking genius, some inventive unintentional skips, and also not saving progress or going right after getting to the ground level.
13:37 Never saw something that looked quite this way, I had smoke in front of my screen and this looked super trippy Also, cyan is pretty close to turquoise, which in turn is close to teal, so I guess that works
@Chlocean Balatro is strictly a roguelike game though. It's just a roguelike card game, I genuinely like the graphics and having them be as basic as they can is perfect, it's all about the items you get on each run and the cards you have, nothing else. There's like, one screen, I don't think I've considered how it looked since the day I bought it. Ultimately, you need to like the idea of the game and the gameplay, the graphics should not be a factor. Nobody plays poker in real life and thinks about how the cards look.
I'd say this is a different type of 2d pixel game. There's many I enjoy as a straight up platformer, but the puzzle element in this kinda brings me out of it. You're in the same places for long periods of time sometimes and I often just want to GO and keep going.
Whoever told him about the bubble wand infinite jump thing kinda ruined the whole play through. my mans was bubble jumping right beside a perfectly fine ladder. lol.
I bought this game just to give dunkey some credit. I am not a gamer, and honestly I do not get what you all see in this game... Please educate me. I find it incredibly boring, and somewhat annoying. Playing with Keyboard and not beeing able to adjust the commands yourself (as it seems?!?!) is kinda dumb.
It's better on controller the game is pretty and unique the bosses r different and it's not repetitive at all also this game is only 20 mb which is crazy
Thanks for your commands. I believe that this game is better on a controller, but not advertising it as such is not really dunkey like. It was never mentioned beforehand in one of his videos. Maybe you find it somewhere "hidden", but it feels like something dunkey would critique in his videos (when he would play it on PC). The next thing is that as I said I am not a gamer (for context, I play mostly chess, or board games online... played some League when dunkey still played it, and sort of never "pay" for a games, also played some AOE2), but I think this game is so so easy. Not that this is a bad thing. The puzzles are also incredibly easy. Then there is this awfully a lot of backtracking. For example that part with the two swans was just annoying to play. I have watched some "seasoned" gamers play this game, like Charlie here, and he does nothing differently then I do, even though I am not a gamer. I thought it is me, that I do not make the game fun. Well beeing a first "matroidvania" or what ever you gamers call it, I can see that these types of games are maybe not for me. I give it that the game looks pretty and has nice soundeffects. Also that it runs on my junk PC is a plus. Well, as I said. I just love dunkey, and I want him to succeed, so I bought that game mostly to support Dunkey and Billy Basso.
@@AnnaKarenina-cb4ic currently i am almost 100% on the game i think. its definitely more comfortable playing on controller. im not sure how it feels on keyboard though. the vibrations in the controller help a lot with timing and such. also yeah there is a ton of backtracking. but its one of those games where once you’ve beaten it you can come back to an area with new items and find a completely new spot or chest. and also a lot of the backtracking is negated by just using the flute to fast travel. if you havent found the flute, you haven’t been hunting for eggs. also this game is an ARG. meaning that there are puzzles that the community is trying to solve together, and also puzzles that Billy put in the game that arent exactly in-game related. code-breakers all over the world are working on those as we speak. another aspect of the game that isnt for the casual audience. also its just personal preference. if you dont want to find all 65 eggs, thats fine. this just aint made for you :) theres probably plenty of other games that are tho.
I've found that if a puzzle seems impossible or more difficult than it should be that's because it probably is, and you need an item to complete it. Like the ghost cat puzzle lol
@@ezioauditore6038I hate to break it to you but you’ve been commenting basically the same thing on every comment to do with a dunkey quote, you are the npc
