I'm a pro Heads Up NL player. Been playing for over 12 years and you are my favourite vlogger. Yes you have leaks and yes you need lots of improvement, but I just love your vlogs. You are humble, well grounded and very honest which is something I really respect. Your tilt break/outro talking about your mental game is great to hear. Not many player reference this part but its the most crucial. Keep up the good work, and wish you the best of luck!
Lex check out poker coaching with Jonathon little. Has tournament charts with different stack sizes. Couple of those shoves were actually just min raises. Might have left some value on the table. Good luck brother.
Lex I've been following you for years I live 7 miles from the rock . One day I know I'll meet you. Way to go on being plus 2K In 2 days. See you there one day. Good luck to you brother. I grind the 1/2. I know that's where you started down in Miami. I'm watching a pro in the making. Thanks for the entertainment
Really enjoy watching you play and your thought processes. I found a few folds in spots you called off in (when I'm thinking correctly), but other than that, really appreciate the thoughtful aggression and your thinking through some really tough spots. Getting ready for a 4 day Vegas trip, it is helpful to see a good player think through their hands, bet sizing, position, etc. Even for the year after an up and down run over limited play. Trying to get my mind right. This helps.
Implement more tips and how to become a better poker player Lex, that’s just my opinion. Other than that, I love the vlogs. Been watching for a long time now! Keep it up Lex! Your time for a HUGE W IS COMING! I feel it!
At 5:13 you peel AJ slowly. That is a fairly reliable tell that you liked the first card and are sweating the 2nd. Any player paying attention can reasonably deduce you have at least a J or better(you wouldn't sweat the 2nd card if the 1st one sucked) an example at 6:15, you open a 10 first card and don't slow reveal the 2nd card. And before anyone comments that it's undetectable by others, you're in denial.
Lex, not sure if you noticed but on the Q10 hand it looks like the 10 is marked on the side. It looks like where they took a fingernail to make a dent on the side. I've seen this method of marking cards before.
First, I enjoy watching you poker videos. After the games, I was going to get on your case for your play, but I watched to the end of the video and you don't need any criticism from me. Winning at poker is tough. The odds are already against you, it's like 1 on 6 or 1 on 8 in a boxing match. You have to deal with really good players, the luck of the deck, and controlling your own emotions during ups and downs. Anyway, good luck.
Dude I totally understand your logic about playing worse when winning. I do the same thing. Have to stay disciplined! Stay steady my friend. Don't deviate.
Hate when people hit a hand and bounce like that... happened to me at the Wynn when my AA fell to KK... guy didn't even last an orbit and cashed out. :(
As my day job doesn't allow me to play much, i do want to start building a bank roll for just poker sessions. Do you recommend i stay at 1/2 or maybe go with 2/5 if i buy in with 400 and keep 400 for backup? Obviously not high stakes like a lot of you all. Thanks.
Play the leve you are most comfortable with. How many buy-ins of $400 do you have in your bank roll? 20 buy-ins should be enough. So, you should have $8k to play 2/5 with $400 to start with. If you loose that quit poker. Good luck!
You might want to work on your peek. If you squeeze the second card really slowly, they know the first card is probably an Ace or King. For your all-in montage you peel AJ,AK,A9 much slower than 10-10.
@Lex I flew down to the Hard Rock on November 17th for the Neeme/Owen meetup game. We had a prop bet going at the table whether you would show up. I was rooting for you to stop by, but I guess noon is too early for professionals. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Hey Lex do you know someone is saying your giving away PS5 or a computer.? They got your picture and are asking for shipping charges of $159.00. I almost got sucked in.
Cmon Lex, it isnt bad enough that down here in Florida we have tourists from up north bring us their nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, aching, coughing, stuffy head fevers to the poker table. ...Thats why I slam vitamin C and use the hand sanitizer about twice every dealer push.
Dunno if you eat much dairy but have less of it or none and you will feel much better especially with anything to do with fluids in your respiratory system
You had acute bronchitis and as far as I could tell weren't wearing a mask and thought it totally fine to be playing poker in public? You feel that's ok?
Got it. You were sick but didn't know you had bronchitis until later. Overlooked the dates you presented, my bad. Btw not trying to hate on you. Glad you cleared things up for me with your response. Thx. Hope you get better soon.
He already said it. He went to The hospital days after the tournament. These voice overs on sessions are almost always days or weeks after they actually play
I swear to god every person I know is getting sick with "bronchitis'. What is going on in the US and why isn't there a public health warning LOL people are traumatized from Covid?
I feel sorry to say that, I love the vlog, I love the guy, but lately seeing cash game or MTT, so many bad plays. I’m not picky, but the content ( and I’ve been watching content for over a year) here is either whining, or being result oriented, even tho it doesn’t make sens, after recording. I could guess opponent hands just of how you explain it. Anyway wish you the best ! Gonna still looking at it, like I said, love the content and the guy, but definitely not watching to improve.
