In 1968, I met a beautiful girl of my dreams. When I asked her for a date, I took her to Simon and Garfunkel concert to impress her and WE were not disappointed. It was wonderful and memorable And we now have been married 54 years. ❤
Today is March 15, 2024. I am 70 years old and still listening to this since I was in high school. Memories of those days keep me updated with chills & goosebumps.💖 Thank you Simon & Garfunkel.
I'm 70 years old, sometimes I feel much older, exhausted, so sad to the malice of this world, but there are some lights in people, the Hope is still alive, we can still receive God's blessings, we are no lost after all ❣️
Their harmonies were played by my Aunt who is about your age while she was babysitting us. I didn't know them well as I was just 6 in 1972, but later on the appreciation of what they gifted to us hit me. Let them fill your memories my friend. Singing "Bridge over troubled water" alone in my car with them and "St. Judy's comet" and others helped me travel hundreds of miles alone towards Colorado, MIssouri and other states. I still belt out "Kodachrome" and others when I am out running around and count myself richer for it. God bless you.
I am 72 years old. I saw Simon and Garfunkel in Concert in Atlanta, Georgia when I was about 14 treats old at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium. I have enjoyed their music so much all through these many years!
Longing for bygone days when music spoke to the depths of our hearts, 💙 sharing daily struggles💪 while holding steadfast to hope in the truth, beauty and goodness of our fellow man. 😇 Times now extinct 💔
One of the greatest songs ever written and sung. This brings so many emotions and it takes me back to when I was a child. I remember hearing this song as an 8 year old as a precursor to Apollo 11 man landing on the moon. It was so apt- The sound of silence in space and how insignificant we are. It really moved me and I keep coming back to it, when I need a dose of reality and relevance
Thanks for reminding me! The moon landing was so huge back then. I was a little kid and will never forget lying on the floor in front of the TV with huge eyes, watching the moon landing happening - The Sound of Silence - could it be more perfect?
Bridge over troubled water...to be played at my funeral...a celebration of life...thank god for every day I've been given..love to you all...I will lay me down ..do not cry for me.. just remember the good times... forget the bad.. everything else is called Life..the circle of life..
To Family of Friends of this LOVED SOUL: Going out with a BINGO, BONGO, BASH, CLANG, BANG was REQUESTED. I HAVE NO DOUBT, EVERY DETAIL WENT OFF 'WITHOUT'a hitch or hiccup. Tears may have fallen in the 'silence.' However, the party must have been the BOMB! THANK YOU! JDSM
2 men blending their differently masculine voices in unity to harmonise perfectly. So beautiful!!!!! I forgot how they blend together as one perfect sound
you took the words right out of my mouth wait a minute that may be hit song make me a million oh no my auto tune is broken and pitch correction not working but i have talent the guy a Target told me so and he said I have great set I Am sure he meant Vocals
Sounds of silence is an antithesis beetwin sounds which are noises and silence which is tranquillity it seems like a romanian word that is silence is also an answer !!!
Music of my youth - amazing songs these guys wrote and this last come together is awesome. Very underrated as probably one the best duos ever of all time.
Young man in Central Park a free concert in 1983. That they still attract listeners worldwide is no surprise to me as no group demonstrated half as much talent since
My wish is to have my elder brother meet this duo coz ur songs are like our family anthems we started listening to you when we were young, my brother is now in his 70s and has all the original album. Where are you to just give my brother Arnold a handshake "The Boxer" he sang along and we became part of you legends in this music that will never frail. Love you❤
Unforgettable songs and great band music. I simply loved their songs and music when I was youngsters; and now, I enjoy their voices and their passion in band performance⋯⋯
Just fucking WOW. First time I saw the ending. Incredible!!!! My god Paul's compositions and Art Garfunkel vocals. And Paul's voice as well. Paul seemed so happy with Artie's finish. I am thankful for my generation of musical history and talent. It. Seems endless. Thanks to all of them, who gave me special life memories with their music. The boomers sure knew how to create everlasting music history.🎶☮️✌️🕊️
@@jeanineshiman8228 Seriously, I just read a really good article about how the boomers changed the world more than any generation. Listing everything from technology, to the ozone layer. Far to much to list here. But it was a reputable news magazine. And said that we now had become"the greatest generation". I believe that. Im thankful for those before, my father's, my grandfather who fought in WW1 France. But the music our generation created and many still going is incredible. I mean Paul McCartney and Ringo are both on tour. The Stones. Just amazing talent. True musicians, masters of the art. ☮️🎹🎸✌️🕊️🎶
U r amazing!! I remember when lived in Minnesota, I always listened to you!! I was 11 years old!!! And to this day...I still get chills!! You are both truly wonderful!! Please don't ever stop!!!😘🤗😋😁😀👍
VP. Agradezco a RU-vid y a Internet.
