The Paul Sheldon woman is a joke. He's a fictional author from a Stephen King novel called 'Misery'. Which is about an obsessive fan (who I think the shouting woman was trying to represent) who kidnaps him and forces him to write books for her.
Every time I see it on a Karen/freak out compilation, I’m always wondering how many people are interpreting it as real lmao The more and more it gets posted, the further from the truth we shall be

When she said "Speak English in Canada" I fucking died. Literally 2 main languages French and English. Now maybe french is more just around Quebec area but still funny, when that country literally has 2 main languages.
1:57 the man recording killed that woman’s husband, he was driving around recklessly and they got into a feud. The woman had enough of it and called the police in that clip. She didn’t know what was gonna happen a few months later
It was in Canada and it caused a huge public outcry. The store was identified and I’m pretty sure there were a ton of people who went by to apologize to the workers for this woman’s behaviour. Disgusting and in front of her child too.
She never showed the dog, so we will never know if it really was a service dog or not. But with how people act, its more than likely not and this woman just doesn't feel like following the rules
There’s certain (two I believe) questions that can be asked and if the owner of the dog cannot answer them then service can be denied. Also most of the time with these type of people they’re clearly bringing in an emotional support animal (not protected by the ADA) or just the family pet since it starts barking and/or going around to everyone for pets or beg for food. It sucks since the people with service dogs then get a bad rap.
Ok so ADA federal law requires business owners to basically shut the fuck up and walk away when a person comes in with a dog stating it’s a service dog. HOWEVER if the person claims the dog for service and the dog does not perform as a service dog, the business owners are to both deny service and call the police where the situation will/should get handled
it’s weird how we have karens who refuse to wear a mask and make a huge scene about it but also karens who scream at those of us who aren’t wearing a mask because we’re exempt

A little context about the clip at 1:52,the person recording this had been harassing the family for months and a few months later,he murdered her husband,posted it on tiktok,then got arrested
1:59 isn't a karen, it actually has a terrible backstory. to short it down: boy in the video was driving super fast and recklessly around the neighborhood almost every week, and then tried to hit the family son but missed, she called the police nothing happened. then during another complication the boy stabbed the woman's husband's shoulder, fatally wounding him and killing him.

And then the couples son found out and went to his house and the guy took a knife from the house and stabbed the lady’s husband. He’s I think 19 and from New Jersey.

The dog one tho, if she has a certified, trained, service dog, they most likely can't actually refuse her service because of the dog. (I'm not an expert but I do work with US certified dogs in Sweden)

AGL os by the sounds of it, he was and no he is not. service dogs can only be denied access on property that the public doesn’t have access to, such as churches, if i remember correctly in the video they were in a store where they can’t be denied access as per ada.

8:38 To be fair, if her dog really was a service dog, she's completely right and protected by federal law. No "store policy" or whatever he was trying to say can override that. Soooo... I don't consider her a Karen, lol. Service dogs are sometimes recognized as medical equipment by law (depending on the region) so if you distract on or deny it access, you can be charged with tampering with medical equipment which is punishable by fine or even imprisonment. So the guy was actually the one committing a crime (or at the very least, being ableist).
Just put them behind a protective screen for the safety of the audience. They do spread corona which is a bit of a safety concern... Other than that they can perform many acts like licking the screen, attacking a worker, not wearing a mask etc. I'll pay up ngl
