You know Lex, for being a vlogger, a wrestler and a fitness athlete, you find an impressive level of humble atttitude in your life. Having success in those sports that are PURELY individual leads human males to a heavy level of cockiness to the point of major head swelling and I give you kudos for managing to shy away from too much of it.
people watch for various reasons including to crap on the guy, and when people crap on the guy he gets paid for it which allows him to play in games he clearly doesn't have the skill level to compete profitably at. As a vlogger in a field that leans heavily right wing as poker does, he could make a fortune just telling trump trash that they are morons. He then would get feedback and that's a bigger check from youtube. It's the fox news model, keep idiots pissed off by lying to them and they buy crappy pillows and all the drugs advertised while screaming at the TV. Lex is a polarizing dude for a bunch of reasons but if he could get 100k people screaming at him he could make enough to play even higher. That's the game man.

Lex, you said the run outs didn't matter in the hand in which Wei flopped the full house A9 on AA9 (since Nick only has a flush draw), but you failed to notice/mention Nick isn't completely dead in the hand. Nick had the 8h-7h, and on Ah-Ad-9h, Nick COULD have hit runner runner straight flush. As a poker pro, and vlogger, you should at least notice things like that. I truly believe you didn't even see it.
In reference to all of the negative comments, don't sweat em man. I know it's easy for me to say since I don't have a vlog, but most of the guys who say "I would've done this, you should've done that," buy in for $300 at their local card room and would last maybe a half hour at some of the games you take part in. Also you deserve some respect for being honest about your downswings. It's easy to craft social media into a false narrative, but you're always super honest about your losses. Hate to keep being a stickler about terminology, but 7,2 is NOT the worst hand in poker. It is the worst STARTING hand in HOLD'EM. Believe it or not, there are many variations of poker, Hold'em being only one of them.

What is your goal with this channel and playing poker professionally? If its to showcase your journey, and be a profitable player, then I think you should be happy that you're accomplishing your goals. If its to showcase your journey, be a profitable player, and receive nothing but positive comments from people on the internet, then I think you need to adjust your goals. From watching your vlogs over the years, I feel like you care way too much about what people think regarding your channel, your game, and just your life in general. I've seen you address these people way too much in your videos, and always ask myself, why? It certainly doesn't make the vlogs better (I actually feel like it makes them worse), and it for sure won't make people stop (if anything it gives them fuel knowing that they are getting a reaction from you). Just my opinion/suggestion, but you should stop engaging with the negativity. And I know you said, "its easy for people to say that", but if you're going to put yourself out there in the public eye, you have to have a way to deal with the haters. Ignoring them seems like the easiest way to me.
Lex, let me tell you the facts. I don't care if you respond. 1: It doesn't matter what people think about you. I've always lived by that rule. Who cares. I don't care if you see negative comments 1 million times. It means nothing!!! 2: Manifesting run bad, leads to more run bad. Stop talking about it and stay positive. There will always be downswings and up swings. Just play your best and quit complaining. The sooner you accept these things, the better your emotional health and poker playing will be better.

You really shouldn’t get that flustered by negative comments on YT, it’s part of the game, I feel like the vast majority of comments on here have been fairly supportive. Also sometimes ppl give valid critiques without being rude about it, I wouldn’t necessary call that hating. That 99 vs KJ hand was gross btw, tough one..

I have been playing 2-5 and 5-10 since 2009. Playing 20 to 30 hours a week while working a 6 figure sales job. All I can say is I hope you have alternate income sources. Poker in modern times seems impossible to treat as a career. But what do I know? I may be wrong.
There are a small minority of profitable players and there is a very large group of break-even and losing players. Everyone at 5-10 is a good player. All I can say is good luck if that's your only income source. Seems way too stressful to me.

Do not judge les ye be judged, do not criticize until you walk a mile in your foes shoes. Having played semi seriously for years the swings are either devastating or amazing. You have to sacrifice so much in the way of a normal life to play poker for a living. Family functions, friends, 9to5, diet, and routine. Lex I've worked self employed for over 20 years and developed a mentally that 1 in every 100 customers were gonna be impossible. So when encountering that one, I just accepted them as difficult and didn't get hung up on them. I focused on the 99. All the bad, ones, were forgotten pretty quickly. If they are not offering encouragement or constructive criticism,,,,, don't engage. Hope this helps. Hey Lex, I got into poker because of you and Rampage poker. You guys showed how fun the game can be and how to be a profitable player. I have been playing just over a year and its been a great side job for me. I have learned how to manage my bank roll and other great poker tips from you guys and other poker pros. You and Rampage show the raw reality of poker of showing both winning and losing sessions. I love your videos and it makes me want to keep learning. I am currently a 2/3 player with hopes of playing bigger games once i get better and have a bigger bank role. Keep on making poker videos, love you and your videos. For me personally I don't care about "poker etiquette" and I just worry about my own game you will always have people complain about how someone plays, its your money play the way you want. I appreciate the transparency that you guys show.

You ran bad, plus your bet sizing were kinda crappy man. Raise big, take what’s already in the pot. Gave players way to good of odds to get there and they did.
You have to give action. That QQ hand was nuts. That A9 hand was even more crazy. You had two pair, but if you hit your out, the A, it gave the other villain a bigger boat! Zero outs. This loss was predictable. You weren’t playing with a killer vibe. You were loose and having fun. You can’t run bluffs if they aren’t afraid of you. If either one of those big hands you lost were heads up, your odds would’ve drastically improved. The only way 2 players call is because they aren’t afraid and you laid good odds. Stick and move. ✌️
35% - 40% VPIP is plenty good to get in those games. Don't worry about giving excessive action. They let Dylan play and he's beyond tight. If you've got the money to play, they'll let you in.

If you don’t like negative feedback I have two suggestions. First is don’t post videos and second don’t read the comments. With that being said you’ve come a long way in your journey and should be proud of yourself. There will always be negative people out there hating on others. Without a doubt, there's some bad-run going on right now, but also have to say you've added "making a move" into your play-style, which is dangerous in deep-stack games. Ironically, your biggest score on the night came from a bad move that came up roses when you hit a 4-outer (5:34)
15:28 You made a big mistake not raising to 4-5k here to deny equity from open ended and gutshot draws. You want to give 1.5-2 to 1 not 3 to 1 or better. Donkeys still might call you but at least you deny equity.

Im not sure, I try to actively avoid reading anything in internet comment sections as much as possible, but be careful not to let your ego get in the way and confuse criticism with hate. Like I wish the best for you of course, you seem like a good guy, when you do well in poker, that means I continue getting content from you, but you keep complaining about this 3 month downswing when you're simply not playing well. And I understand this is a livestream and maybe there's other interests at work, but to sell action to your fans and people supporting you, then play terribly with their money, that seems pretty fucked up. But it's been the past however many videos you've released, there's just been plenty of hands played poorly. Like shit happens, sets get cracked by straight/flush draws, big pairs get cracked by worse hands, it happens in your favor also. It just gets annoying to watch bad play and then listen to you complain about running bad, when its just not the case, like just look at the first hands in this video, I had to stop watching and skip to the end. You 3x raise A4o over 2 limps and bet 5 ways on a connected flop with an over card, you check raise 2nd pair on a 5 way connected flop, like dude this is where win rate is decided in all these little spots, not when your 70% hand gets cracked. PLUS this is other peoples money you're playing like a donkey with! If you want to play like that for your stream reputation, dont sell action! LOL gl Lex
So many things to cover. I'm only going to pick two because it'll probably be so long nobody will read anyway. First, you can't use the word 'mitigate' when talking about your wins. That's not what it means/how it's meant to be used. Second, you take any sort of comments as hating when a lot of times it's straightforward honest feedback maybe you should pay attention to. For example, in your summary of how you're running so bad you point out getting it in with QQ v. AJ and AQ and the hand where you flopped a set, someone else two pair, and the guy with the gutter drilled it, and lastly, KQ v. K9. The reality is you were basically 68% when you got it in with QQ. That means if you had won that hand you would have been running way above expectation. You have to be able to lose as a 2-1 favorite and not think much of it. Second, the odds of you winning _both_ run outs in KQ v. K9 is ~36%. So again, you have to be a bit lucky to win them both. The more normal thing to happen is to chop. The guy tagging the gut shot was pretty brutal as he probably shouldn't even be in the hand but that's why you're there. Lastly, in this 'woe is me' part of the video you fail to acknowledge how lucky you were to put you up money in the beginning. You got it in with KJ on a QJT two diamond board against two pair and a nut flush draw. You had the lowest equity of anyone in the hand when the money went in and you came out the other end smelling like roses. If post session you have this non realistic recall of all the bad that happened and not giving credit to the spots where you also ran well, well...

Jus remember, lex you're the 1 percent of poker players that are successfully moving up in stakes. So dont listen to the jealous haters. They're losing or breakeven players. Moving up is pretty stressful. I bet if you did a percentage of comments, the good comments would be a higher percentage.

Anyone can win It's hard not to be results oriented First hand you called but faltered after river. If you were good after turn you were good after river. Man, that's running bad. When I have a session like that (too often) I just have to quit for a couple of weeks especially when it's a significant amount. That's probably why like to play tournament better. After I bust out of a tournament, I can tilt in the parking lot or at home and at least my downside is limited. In a cash game, you rebuy and you play worse because you are chasing your money.
