@@autobr_I mean it was kinda funny but doesn’t make sense cuz you don’t use them as sticks. Thing is if you call out an overused unfunny joke on the internet, people will go at you
@@kevinmcgrath8310I mean.. they’re like $100. Probably just a “hey these are cheap and fun and don’t require a ton of space” thing more than a “noise is annoying” thing.
My one problem is that people looking to use this as a cheaper/quieter alternative to learning drums will not learn the proper technique and rebound which is a huge part that often goes under the radar
Nobody with brains would buy this to learn to play real drums. It's kind of similar to if you had said that people buying an origami paper plane kit would fail to fly a real plane if they only knew the mechanics of the paper plane.
@@LD-mu4eg that is one of the worst analogies that you could possibly use to convey your point. You could’ve said it’s comparable to somebody practicing the guitar on the Game guitar hero and in return not learning 💩.
@@IlLAD3LPH1A215which is a funny example you used because you can actually learn drums on guitar hero by playing on expert. It taught me how to play a modest mouse song and Paramore and when I got my first drum set I was able to play it from beginning to end
They made those in the early 90s. Not as high tech but speakers were in the sticks and they were pretty cool for what they were. I wish I could remember what they were called. Something STIX.
I got these as a gift. Take the difference between acoustic drums and older electric drums (from a decade+ ago,) then multiply that by like 8 or 10, and thats about what these feel like. They also dont have a setting to flip the position of the drums from a legt-handed player such as myself. We returned them.
Well, we lived in our RV for maybe 6 or 8 years, so the idea of being able to have a mobile way to play drums drums quietly was really appealing. So far, the closest thing I've found is the Roland vdrum TD-1KPX2
@jason_v12345 except when you take the acoustic experience (10/10) and subtract that from the electric experience, say 7/10, that gives a negative 3/10. When multiplied by 8, that leaves with a negative 2.4 experience. Idk when the last time you had a negative 2.4 experience for anything, but it's not something I'd do willingly, unless there was great benefit involved.
It'd be if they worked good. They're quite crappy. The way they work makes it lose the sense of their position quite fast, and you can't play correctly with them
Reminds of "Hitsticks"that came out when I was a kid during the late 80s and early 90s. Same concept but had a cord similar to a landing phone and a small speaker.
Lmao of course it different, no one claims it can replace real drum practice. But it would be a cool novelty to practice when ypu absolutely cannot make noise.
I thought it was one of those things where they're like "look at this cool electric make up brush *wink wink*" but quickly realized it was actually drumsticks this time
Neat. . I had some drum sticks like this in the early 90s... Rockin sticks or something like that. A lil curly cord ran to a small speaker that clipped to my pants ... Super neat, and super annoying to the folks lol 😂
@K_L03 That's actually what I meant. Maybe I should've phrased my comment differently, looking at it now. I love the sound of a real drum kit. I actually meant playing air drums would annoy the crap out of me.
If used properly, i can see these making you a better drummer. It'll force you to use muscles where before you used rebound. That could greatly improve your control skills.
Haven't seen one before, but I imagined it way back and know it's very possible . Same way I know flying cars will be rampant in future and well affordable
HOLY SHIT IT’S LIKE A LEGIT VERSION OF THE AIR SNARES FROM MY CHILDHOOD! (I always wanted them but my parents wouldn’t get them for me, hahaha - now my 12 year old is getting intro percussion but doesn’t have room for a full kit; these look perfect!)
inb4 “no rebound/haptic feedback” - yes, I realize these aren’t optimal in those respects, but I think these would be fun + pretty useful for learning rhythm, esp with drum pads. 😊
@@AeroBand.officialyou know you’re not a drummer when you bring up double bass when someone asks for a double stroke roll. This product is literally e-waste
For a moment, not a second but a moment, I thought those were some new type of tech Nunchucks Bruce Lee 9000 or something like that... I got micro excited.
