I've been playing 1000 pts with my buddy as we get back into the game after 10+ years off (I played 3rd and 4th edition). So far my Nids are smashing his Drukhari at 1000 pts. Your channel rules! Well this was perfect timing--I play Tyranids, my roommate has just started playing Slaanesh deamons, and we're planning on playing our first 1000 pt game tonight. I was already planning on sparing him the Leviathan list, but now I'm tempted by that Behemoth list...
I want to play smaller and faster games, but usually I play the standard 2000 pts. At 1000 pts, I would worry about running into armies consisting purely of the most broken unit/buff combos. So maybe worth considering putting extra limits, like for example: - No named characters. - A minimum of 25 PL of troops - Or a minimum of 1 troop unit for each other unit choice.

Great video... I love playing 1000 pt games as a way to hangout and learn about the diverse ways they can be used. Ussualy I get tired of 2000pt games... Love this quick games... Most of all using kraken
I with my friend don't have so many models yet so we started with 500pts games and we are now moving to 1000pts games when having enough models for that.
Behemoth cool looking with genestealers and Broodlord. All army in forvard deploy with +1 to charge adaptive. Genestealers have 5S on charge and if oponent have fight first rule you can use unparalleled ferocity strat.

Thank you! It's tough to say, in many cases it may not be needed. But you could always run into that one army that could get him turn one because you didn't hide him well enough.
