I am trying to find someone in North Carolina that can fix a Patty Play Pal doll eye. I have one that one eye won't open right. I have had this doll for at least 60 years. Really want to give her to my granddaughter when she is big enough.

Good information, it seems odd that older dolls looked more realistic, the dolls of today are no match.The art seems to have gone backwards, with the exception of reborns. The dolls offered at department stores are cheap, not lifesize etc.Great video!
now they want every child to have toys, not just to make quality dolls, that are worth every penny- because they want to make money fast without any efforts. everybody want to get a cut from the toy making industry, but without investing much really... and people do not appreciate art anymore,
They're so beautiful! My mom has an 18 inch Ideal Revlon doll that she got when she was little, and I recently got a Little Miss Revlon, and now I'm really interested in the Ideal company!

Your two PlayPal dolls look beautiful. Ideal made an excellent quality product. I have a few Ideal dolls in my own collection, mostly very old baby dolls from the 1930s.

they sure don't make em like they used to. I prefer the 50s and 60s dolls over the ones I grew up in the 90s! They were gorgeous! Every thing now is all cartoonish and riddled with technology. Most of the baby alives now look awful! Nothing like the 70s ones!

I am a new doll collector & recently bought Patty at least I am 99% sure she is Patty the only markings I could find on her whole body is 2 little marks on the back of neck just under her hair-line...speaking of hair sadly someone chopped her hair off. She is in otherwise perfect condition. about 3 feet tall I believe she is a "walker" doll ? Is that the correct placement for markings on Patty? thank you so much !

thank you for telling me about my doll.I found a baby big eyes at a flea market,she has sweaty plastic ,i tried to restore her face and rooted some hair that was missing ,evens added a mama box replacement ,It's not a perfect restoration but it's fair ,I know it;s her cause she too is from Idea.looks the same
