Playstation 4 Laggy Bluetooth Controller, Possible Solution

If you are using a Playstation 4 and have experience controller lag, like in this video i would be thinking some of the following.
If you have dropped your PlayStation you might be experiencing the laggy controller
*- Damaged Bluetooth Antenna
*- Failing Bluetooth/Wifi IC
*- Antenna Disconnected
*- Bluetooth Antenna Jack Damaged

Just got my ps4 back from the shop with this problem after paying £30 for a clean! This video saved me taking it back, and from now on I will clean my own consoles x

When my neighbors TV is on it shows up in my list of Bluetooth devices and causes my gameplay and controls to be sluggish. When he turns it off, my players, (nhl 23) are extremely fast and controls are very responsive. I cannot pair it to forget it. I've tried basically everything except move my console to the basement. Sony help says it shouldn't cause interference but it does. Unsure if there's anything else I can try.

The thing is, the connection on the controller is crappy I guess but when you point the controller at the playstation/pc, it will work very good for some reason and then when you point it somewhere else, it will start lagging

If your controller lags, it might be because it's not a real dualshock. I got a Cyberpunk branded Chinese knockoff DS4 because it looks amazing and was $26, but it lags because the bluetooth technology inside it is crap (lags both with the PS5 and my phone), when used with a wire it's working fine, obviously the sticks and triggers are nowhere near good enough to fool anyone that it's the real thing, but at least it doesn't lag that way.

I've have this problem now. Everytime I use the controller it cuts out and I have to turn off and on the ps4 to operate the controller. It's not even one controller it's also with my backup controller I use when I play with friends.

Having the same problem but sometimes it is feasible to play when I have the controller at a certain distance and angle to play. Just purchased a new controller and sadly, it still has the same problem

Blue tooth antenna? I've changed one before, but I just got a refurbished ps4 at Game Stop and all controllers are doing this. I know it's refurbished but u still expect it to work.

I have a ps4 pro and Both of my controllers are acting up. I recently bought one of them. I have reset them but they still act up. All tho it's not crazy like this sometimes it stops working then I'm back in the game normally. It's a bit annoying. I will check the connection method and maybe try turning off my ps4 pro and just resting the controllers again! Thanks for the tips wish me luck if all else fails I'm gonna have to push myself into getting a ps5.

@bilalborbon5349 at the time my dumb self had the ps4 behind my TV. So the controller connection would struggle to stay on. I just put my ps4 somewhere it was free and nothing could block the connection.

My controller is weird because my controller randomly cuts off and doesn't move I can't press any buttons or use any buttons but after a few seconds it works again I've been looking into ways how to fix this and there's no way to find a good way to fix this I don't know if it's more controller or it's just something wrong with it

Apart from trying the controller on another console and a different controller on your console, there isn't much you can do

i have this same problem however it also does it with usb connected with both controllers which when connected to another ps4 or my computer work perfectly fine.

@@rickstechrepairs idk is like when I try to use the joystick it dont work just the touch pad but I can't even use that cause if I touch it, it moves all over the place.
