@@thatguy_dirt_in_your_eye difference is screen size and experience . iPads are too large iPhones are too small. Both are not ideal for handheld gameplay furthermore I don’t think they can be used unless your connected to same network as ps5

Don't believe the cow manure being shoveled in front of your face. The latency is horrible. You won't be winning any online games away from home with this thing. Just stick to single player games where you won't get hurt.

Yeaaah cause ps5s are already single player anyway, so buying an extra controller is pointless. They should offer a ps5 with only a portal as controller.

@@Diego-oy6en no sir I brought my console in that I got in 2020 which was still in good condition but I have no clue why they are doing it maybe take them off market not sure , I know they going to only produce the PS5 slim consoles

@@Diego-oy6en I was told this in store from a worker when I went pickup my ps Portal it's some limited time deal but ik where I'm at they are doing it though

@@Diego-oy6en I called today and to trade in it will be around 200$ out of pocket with a trade in on the og console long as it's in good working condition but I cant do it because I paid way over retail trying to get one the first release and cost me $800 I would be taking a loss now just to have the newer console but I definitely plan on trying to get one in the future

I believe that's a setting on the PS5. I vaguely remember mine used to, but it does not now.

definitely... not sure why no reviewer is is actually testing the response time of button presses. Watched all the reviews out so far and not a single one talks about their home wifi LAN setup (what router they use etc) they all just talk about their great download speeds which won't affect this at all as it connects over your local network unless you're out in public. Most of these reviews are totally useless to someone who actually want to know if this is a good purchase or not. Right now, as someone who has used the remote play app on other devices as well as Chiaki, etc. I'm leaning towards not as the lag is too noticeable and annoying to me and makes many types of games unplayable. These reviews are more sponsored ads than actual reviews.

@@OfficialGaming11_ no, the ps5 has to be in rest mode or already turned on to access it from the portal, but when accessed you need to keep the ps5 on to use the portal because its the ps5 being screen mirrored onto your portal

@@krithik09 right ok I understand thanks very much I was definitely mis understood. It’s a shame they did it like this I wish they can do ps5 cloud streaming on portal. So you can play any games you want with out needing to use remote play. Hopefully they will bring out an surprising update

Well, it worked with the Last of Us Part 1 when I needed to shake it to recharge my flashlight lol. I love this thing, it has been running beautiful with zero issues on many different games.

@@sealryuwong2752 I have the Sony over the ear wx1000 and the dongle two piece from Amazon is the creative bt-w3. And for me the audio is amazing, so much better than when I use the cable plugged in.

$700. Seriously though it would not be cheap. They’ve kept this low because it’s not a dedicated handheld… that said should be about $50 cheaper imo

The vita was ahead of its time. If they do a handheld right now it would sell like crazy assuming a decent price point (somewhere between switch price and ps5). They’re missing out on huge potential imo.

@@murphyebass7837 if it’s between switch and ps5 price I think that would be ok. You think it would be more than ps5? I doubt that given the vita was less than ps3/ps4. I assume the handheld wouldn’t be as powerful as ps5 but something like the steam deck or rogue ally.

@@akg7873 I don’t think it’d be far off the ps5 price wise given a device that’s built for remote play only is $200. Don’t get me wrong I love my vita but I just don’t see a new designated handheld from Sony any time soon, unless this thing sells in spades

I only played for two min and it was super choppy. I'll keep going and see if it clears up. My Internet speed is 300 Mbps. It says u need at least 15. Does my extra speed help at all or does it like cap at 15

@@OfficialGaming11_ it suppose to do that ,it suppose to wake up your ps5 so it can run the game for your portal but once you done with your portal you can put it back in rest mode or turn your ps5 off with the portal. But if you turn off your ps5 you won’t be able to turn it back on so keep it on rest if you plan to play on it again with portal . Hope it helps

@@themaker8318 yeah I have the same speeds as you and the 15 mbps is the upload speed and the 300 is the download speed . Yeah if you get more than 15 it won’t cap. Yeah give it time to “adjust” it will come out clear and more smoother. On my ps5 I get around 300 download speed and up load around 22mbps.
