This video shows you how to open and disassemble a PS VR2 Sense Controller, which was bundled with the PSVR2 headset for the PS5 released on February 22nd, 2023. The enclosed control unit is divided into a right and left controller, each with two action buttons (X, circle, square and triangle button) and contains the same technology inside in a mirrored outfit. This video gives an insight into the right controller, taking into account the most important components (IR LEDs, buttons, analog stick, touch sensors, battery, vibration & trigger motors, mainboard, etc.). This tutorial is primarily intended to provide assistance for any necessary repair or cleaning. For replacing, repairing or cleaning certain components, the controller must be opened. This will void the guarantee. Please ensure that you have the right tools available to avoid damaging the controller when opening. All opening tools used in this video are not binding and can be possibly replaced by other types (eg. different screwdrivers). Before opening please ensure that your tools are suitable to teardown the controller. The reassembly can be watched at the end of this video in fast motion.
