I really hope that you have the Apollo 11 VR thingy in your hidden gems video. I know the graphics are somewhat PS2-ish, it's short and not really a game, but man it's Apollo 11! The sense of awe being there with Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins.
One thing I didn't mention is you can use any headphones you want, but MUST use the mic built into the PSVR headset for online multiplayer games like Firewall and Rec Room. It's a little annoying, but throwing it out there as I ran into that issue.
I like that it acts like another screen...I was playing Regular Skyrim and was like 'man this would be awesome in VR' searched on Amazon and hey someone stole my idea.
Jimmy Lopez Hell yes dude! It literally sold me on VR gaming! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. I recently have uploaded a Top 20 Best PSVR Games video and there some great games not mentioned here. 👍
I was about to mention the same thing. It's so much better in VR than not. Makes you feel like John Wick or something like that. Great video overall, though. I love my PSVR and hope that Sony really goes all in on VR with the PS5. To me it's like 3D was a stepping stone to get to VR. But, people have to actually demo it to truly understand how great it really is.
TheRealMrKGB Hell Yeah man! I think the oculus Quest will help getting VR literally out there for people to try. PSVR is amazing and the wealth of games has some incredible experiences
@@GetToDaChoppaVR I agree on the Oculus Quest. I hope that lives up to my expectations. The first time I tried the PSVR, which was my first time trying anything other than a super basic Oculus tech demo at a convention before it was released, I was blown away. It's one of those experiences that stands out as a big jump in gaming. There are a few other moments that stand out for me, such as when I first played World of Warcraft and realized just how big it really was, and when I first played Super Mario Bros. as a kid. It had that effect on me where my thought was, "This is game changing."
mokuba76 I recently streamed Outlast in my VR headset and it definitely made me jump and tense quite a few times! But resident evil is the scariest experience ever in VR!
The moment I realized Astro Bot Rescue Mission was special was when I saw a block that had some space under it and thought "I wonder if there's something under this" and bent down to look and there WAS! This is something you can only do with VR!
Colton Gregory Nice one dude! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. I recently have uploaded a Top 20 Best PSVR Games video and there some great games not mentioned here. 👍
Sucks that it was only a few missions and not the full game though. If ya haven't yet and like flying games, try "Ultra Wings". Nowhere near as intense but reminded me of Nintendo's "Pilot Wings".
bmx7596 That’s What I’m talking about dude! I love my PSVR! I have a channel that focuses on PSVR exclusively and I have just done a Top 20 PSVR games video and as a fellow PSVR enthusiast I would love to hear your thoughts! 👍
Lon.TV Hell yeah dude! It’s high in my Top 20 PSVR games list vid on my channel! I focus exclusively on PSVR and as a fellow VR enthusiast I would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Just too the plunge and (finally) bought my VR after watching this video. Holy crap I wish I had done it long ago! AstroBot is a *blast* and for all those wondering, it runs *great* with just a PS4 Slim! Now to dive back in! Thanks for the reco MJR and JR!!!!!
The PSVR is so worth it! I've had mine since launch and have been playing as many games as I can get! *Some other recommendations:* - *Superhot VR* ("time only moves when you do" is the main mechanic of the game, extremely fun game) - *Borderlands 2VR* (It's borderlands...In VR, and it also got Aim controller support recently) - *Honor And Duty: D-Day* (Up to 32 player online matches with awesome weapons, vehicles, and maps to play in!) - *BattleZone* (An arcade-like tank shooter where your goal is to get to a volcano level by level while fighting enemy tanks. It also has multiplayer!) - *Apex Construct* (A fantastic action game with an interesting story and awesome bow mechanics) - *To The Top* (A parkour game that has given me some of my favorite PSVR moments. The level design is amazing and the online multiplayer is a blast) - *The Persistence* (A randomly generated horror game that makes for some of the most intense and exciting moments in VR. It's also very challenging!) - *Xing: The Land Beyond* (Possibly the best puzzle game I've played, it puts you in beautiful and relaxing environments while you solve unique puzzles.) - *Megaton Rainfall* (You can become superman and save the planet. At any time you can fly from space down to earth, it's insane!) - *Pixel Ripped 1989* (You're stuck in school while you try to beat a game boy game without the teacher noticing! It's so much fun and crazy moments happen!) - *Statik* (A puzzle game that uses the Daulshock 4 controller better than any other PSVR game. Your hand is stuck inside puzzle boxes that you solve by pressing buttons on your controller, this game made me feel smart when I solved a puzzle :P)
@@yuzuhaz0 that thing doesn't have tracking. I reckon he means an actual move VR controller which is tracked by the camera and has an analog stick. Basically that thing but with tracking and a glowing orb at the end.
@@girly.imp69 I have them. They don't, so in skyrim you press the middle button and aim where you wanna walk and that is where your character will go. Fighting is very hard like that, so I use teleportation instead, which makes everything way less immersive. Why couldn't they just make them like wii nunchucks???
Aaron Ighile haha, that’s kinda funny, it’d be so easy to add analog sticks, I guess they just wanted to keep the design they had since the ps3. Is Skyrim pretty good in vr despite having to use teleportation? I kinda wanted to get it
Great video, guys! I love my PSVR so much, I'm addicted to VR gaming. I'll always love standard gaming, but VR is the next evolution. It's just so damn immersive, even at this very early stage in its life, and the potential is incredible.
Maury J. Nice one dude! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. I recently have uploaded a Top 20 Best PSVR Games video and there some great games not mentioned here. 👍
OMG!! I had NO IDEA I could watch all of my 3D Blu-Rays in VR until right NOW! THAT is AMAZING! Great vid also as always, love these VR gems and THANKS SO MUCH!
Metal Jesus, you are an inspiration!!! Lol! Your channel has inspired me to get a second full time job to build a mega collection. Blasting Gorguts all the way to the game store!
MPearse721 Nice one dude! Resident Evil is a must have experience and the scariest game ever! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. I recently have uploaded a Top 20 Best PSVR Games video and there some great games not mentioned here. 👍
Firewall, Beat saber, Astrobot, Super hot vr, Tetris effect, are all better than RE7 to me (I have RE7 too.. I plan on picking up VRickality too, looks decent and I'm a big R&M fan). Anyway, check those titles out if you haven't already!! I have a LOT of VR games, but these are some of the ones you can really dig in. I've platinumed most of them just because they are so good.
@@clay25420 I have all those games, as well as Moss, Wipeout, Farpoint, and Beat Saber as well, and I'm buying Thumper tonight... These are absolutely the best games I've ever played, and even with owning a Switch and all 1st/AAA games, an Xbox One X with many AAA games, and a Ps4 Pro with many AAA games, PSVR is the only thing to truly get me back into gaming.
Lot's of moms out here using your guides to help figure out what the heck to buy for our kids. This was very helpful. Please keep that segment in mind.
Awesome - great timing as I have just got a PSVR a few weeks back. Picked up Astro-Bot after playing the demo in VR Play-room. Rush of Blood is mental, Star Wars Battlefront VR mission is also awesome
Retro Reels Nice one dude! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. I recently have uploaded a Top 20 Best PSVR Games video and there some great games not mentioned here. 👍
Our family got the model one as a gift from my parents. We love it, don't play it near as much as just regular games, and can't say if we would have bought it for ourselves but glad we have it. A very cool feature of the psvr is using it as a 100" screen. You can play regular games through it while simulating a theater experience, all the apps too, Netflix, RU-vid...etc.
Walter White Nice one dude! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. I recently have uploaded a Top 20 Best PSVR Games video and there some great games not mentioned here. 👍
Awesome video! My PSVR is my second favorite tech purchase of my life, beaten out only slightly by my smartphone. I've got over 1300 hours in VR in the last year.
The PS Move controllers released for PS VR were originally the same as the PS3 ones. Identical if I'm not mistaken. HOWEVER, they released a second version which changed the battery (I might be wrong), they changed the mini-USB port to micro-USB (like DS3 to DS4) and I think the tracking is slightly better but only marginally (according to comments online when I did my research). For me, at least, these latest PS Move controllers have be sold out since December. I live in London, UK. eBay, Amazon, other online websites and retailers all have them sold out. The ones sold are overpriced stock some held onto. Amazon is filled with these stores selling the Twin Pack for £100-130 at least. Instead of £69,99.
I just got PSVR and I'm blown away with the quality and versatility of the PSVR. I love the National Geographic content as much or more than the games. Totally immersive content. I know it isn't exactly Playstation specific, but it's good to know that you can connect your PSVR to your PC and play VR games on Steam really easy! Amazing extension of the Playstation VR ecosystem into everything else out there!
So happy you guys have made this video. I’m a huge fan of PSVR,. It really is something you have to try to appreciate, just how amazing it is. VR worlds is an excellent starting point.

Adrian Oneil Thank you sir! I genuinely mean it about asking for recommendations and anything else, always happy to help how I can with fellow PSVR enthusiasts! 👍
Super Hot, Boderlands 2, Zone of enders, Doom, rec room, sprint vector pixel ripped 1989, blasters of the universe...are awesome and shouldn't be left out, these are must play PSVR games.
1:52 Uh oh, it looks like someone's been using some type of lens cleaner on the PSVR's lenses. You should only ever use either a microfiber cloth , lens brush, or air blower on them. Anything else will eat through the coating.
Well noticed mate I cringed at that bit too.. I clean mine with proper lens wipes but make sure no dust is on the lens first... I sadly scratched my first VR... managed to sell it still on eBay.. but my Version 2 is still like new I take very good care how to clean the unit now.
Glad you guys mentioned Beat Saber! I’ve been playing that game with my brother-in-law for the past few months and it has been a blast trading high scores! They just came out with a new song pack as well that makes you feel totally awesome!
Joe Swanson Hell yes! I have been on Beat Saber non stop lately! I have managed 7 of the MONSTERCAT songs on Expert Plus but the last 3 are killing me! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. I recently have uploaded a Top 20 Best PSVR Games video and there some great games not mentioned here. 👍
Danish Gaming VR dude, the Monstercat stages are SO GOOD! I’ve been working on FCing all the new stages at the moment and they’ve definitely upped the difficulty from the vanilla songs. Glad to hear you’re spreading the VR gospel!
Joe Swanson Thanks dude! Yes man! I love the expert versions as challenging but still really fun, Expert Plus is awesome too but so challenging! I came soooo close (3 blocks missed) to FC on Expert for Overkill! Have you managed Expert Plus for Overkill?! It’s insanity!
Danish Gaming VR Nah, not yet. I would be if I FCed the expert version. Messed up at the very end and missed a note or two... ugh. Expert + is going to be a nightmare!
You can see the huge difference PS4 Pro makes with Resident Evil 7. I first played on my cousin’s regular PS4 and it looked super pixelated. On the Pro it looks way more detailed and higher resolution and it’s incredible seeing the enemies up close. They look huge.
Long time follower. 1st time commenting. Today I learned 2 new things as a PSVR owner. 1: My earbuds have holders for them built into the headset!! Awesome. I dont like them dangeling in the case or on the PSVR stand I mount it on. 2: I can watch my 3D Blueray videos on my PSVR!!! WHAT!?!? I had no clue. I have many 3D movies and looking forward to trying it out. Thank you Metal Jesus for all the TREMENDOUS content. Teaching us what team building and leadership looks like. And for all your efforts back at Sierra. You're tha man 🤟❤🤟❤ I hope you have a great day.
Doom VFR , the best and most immersive VR experience once mastered the move controller (stand, turn with the body, master 180° button) . You are inside doom 2016 assets, you are the doom guy! Mind blowing !!! My top 3 PSVR pro : 1.Doom VFR (with the move controller) 2.Batman arkham VR 3.Astrobot
I'll be honest, I'm kinda surprised you didn't mention Eve Valkyrie. Given your love for classic space combat sims, I figured that would be right up your alley.
THANKS MAN, THIS VIDEO CONVINCED ME TO GET A VR, i bought the Borderlands/Beat Saber bundle, along with SKYRIM and UNTIL DAWN RUSH OF BLOOD, now i just nees Astro Bot and MOSS, i love it so far

Whenever I smell asphalt, I think of Maureen. That's the last sensation I had before I blacked out; that thick smell of asphalt. And the first thing I saw when I woke up was her face. She said she'd fix my bike. Free. No strings attached. I should've known then that things are never that simple. Yeah, when I think of Maureen, I think of two things: asphalt... and trouble.
Michael Ray It’s not the greatest for me but still a good title! I focus on PSVR exclusively so feel free to hit me up and I would be happy to provide any info and recommendations for anything PSVR. Excellent video, but I can't believe Superhot wasn't mentioned! Gotta add my voice to the chorus and say if you're shopping for PSVR games, you gotta get Superhot. It's my number one recommendation and the main reason I picked up PSVR.
Andy Johnson Hell yeah dude! Superhot VR sold me on VR Gaming and It’s definitely high in my Top 20 PSVR games list vid on my channel! I focus exclusively on PSVR and as a fellow VR enthusiast I would love to hear your thoughts on it!
I wear specs also but find that tightening the dial on the back of the headset negates any flooding. Only owned the rig for 10 months and just discovered the button on top of the visor to adjust. Don’t go there, I already know now 😆
I am from the UK, and was debating whether or not to get a VR. My fiancee had been bought one for Christmas, so I tried the ocean dive with the shark, and was blown away. After thinking about it I finally got one, and I absolutely love it. Astrobot Rescue mission is definitely my favourite game so far that I have played on the PSVR. Other games I have for the PSVR are Batman Arkham VR, Skyrim VR, Ark Park and VR Worlds. So I am slowly building up my VR collection. I definitely want to get Until Dawn Rush of Blood, aswell. I have also played the Rise of The Tombraider VR compatible mission Blood ties. That is so cool in VR. I am very happy I got a PSVR, and am blown away everytime I play a game on it.

I wanted to, but it's just the mode - three missions and the Air show. Thought maybe we'll do a 'Best PSVR modes to games you already have' video or something in the future.

I must say I really appreciate this video. I already own RE7, Farpoint, Firewall, GT Sport physically (think I'd rather have Driveclub), and digitally (I swore against purchasing so many digital games, but PSVR has made me dip deep lol) I own Astrobot Rescue Mission, Moss, Beat Saber, Borderlands 2, Wipeout Omega, Thumper, and I love each and every one of them so much. PSVR has definitely reignited my interest in gaming. I own a Switch, Xbox One X + a 4k tv to go with it, then got my Ps4 Pro, then started considering getting PSVR, but I just wasn't enjoying gaming still (granted I do love my Nintendo games, but they're almost always good lol)... I finally found one 2 or 3 weeks ago now, and omg, best investment I've ever made. Absolutely worth every penny I've spent.
SeeJayAre Hell Yeah dude, Wipeout is one of my favourites! I have a channel that is dedicated exclusively to PSVR coverage and I have recently uploaded a Top 20 PSVR games video and as a fellow PSVR enthusiast I would love to hear your thoughts on it! 👍
I hope I didnt miss this in the video but I wear glasses and was wondering if you can use this with glasses or do you have to have contacts and do you think it effects your eyesight? I dont mean big style, I know you guys are not opticians but does it give you eye strain, dry eyes any of that sort of craic?
Gerard Donaghy I know plenty of people that wear glasses and have no issues at all. The actual headset slides out to allow for glasses and doesn’t seem to affect the experience and / or cause any eye strain etc
Love my PSVR! 2 mayor tips from me: 1. Cinematic mode can enhance certain games immensely, especially racing games in cockpit view (immersion comes really close to real VR) and cinematic games like Until Dawn. 2. Drift problem of the cinematic mode can be solved by putting on the headset; put it off and let it sit on a flat surface for a minute. After putting it on your head again the drift will be mostly gone.
Thomas V. Awesome dude! PSVR is pure awesomeness! I love using cinema mode for flat games and also movies, so cool! I have a channel that is dedicated exclusively to PSVR coverage and I have recently uploaded a Top 20 PSVR games video and as a fellow PSVR enthusiast I would love to hear your thoughts on it! 👍
Game has changed forever. Never knew PSVR supported 3D movies. Wish I had a spare headset because I don’t want to lose this capability ever. Geek heaven! 😎
I won a psvr model 2 not too long ago and it's great. tought you would have talked about doom vr. also beat saber is sooo much better on pc simply because of all the user creations and the mods. i was thinking of buying it but without the mods and the users songs, i won't pick it up on ps4 :/
I would also love to know what John Hancock thinks of the PSVR since he has one now too and was someone that thought it was a gimmick before he owned one. Thank you for shedding light on one of the best way to play games. Why play flat games, VR for life!!!!!
Matt Marjanovich PSVR FOREVER!!!! Ha! It is truly amazing and most people are converted when they actually try it! I have a channel that is dedicated exclusively to PSVR coverage and I have recently uploaded a Top 20 PSVR games video and as a fellow PSVR enthusiast I would love to hear your thoughts on it! 👍
Yeah, I agree! The Persistence is another one that's tough to get through. I've streamed it a couple of times but last night it actually upset my stomach because it had me going through a dark corridor of jump scares and death! Awesome but terrible at the same time if you catch my drift.
Tetris Effect is nice on the PSVR. You get to look around the stages, as well as other screens, and see things you normally wouldn't without the headset.
