people are coming up with all types applications for VR. i met a guy suffering from bipolar disorder who is starting a company to make VR sims to calm a bipolar brain and other disorders. maybe it's crappy now, but in the future it could be a tool in the medical field. maybe even new scanning technology will be invented to scan a body part and the doctor can put on a headset and virtually go inside the scan to see whats wrong without procedures.

Honestly I really doubt that buddy. See each real world car has certain designs and quirks which are so varying that it can be incredibly difficult to emulate not to mention in conjunction with real world interactivity. Though I suspect GT:VR is going to be one hella sexy driving simulator for practice.

nycsoul17 beside vr, i downloaded an actual driving sim game (not racing sim) and taught my wife how to drive manual with a logitech g27. so i definently see vr plus the addition of a wheel a semi succesful way of at least teaching people the basics.

It's virtual reality, and it's finally in the home. I can't believe how many people are just "Meh" towards the idea of having virtual reality on a home console. Talk about being hard to impress.

Chance Kimber Talking about the hardware, I tried both at BGS 2016, and with the Vive you can turn 360°s and walk around your room freely. With PSVR, if you put your controller behind your back, and the camera cant see it, you will lose track immediately. Actually, I think the headset is very high quality, but the camera and PS Move thingy ruins it. It feels like a very low budget option. Its almost like Sony didn't want to put the PS Move Controllers and the PS Camera on the trash. Or maybe they just wanted to make it cheaper so more people can buy it, idk, I just know that the tracking sucks

Sony with their PSVR headset is pushing this tech thowards the future, without Sony VR would die yet again and become just another gimmick. This time VR is here to stay and it is estimated that Sony will sell 2.6 million PSVR units before the end of this year

I've been playing battlefield for the last 6-7 years and this one really is the best of them all, atleast multiplayer wise. I'd question some of the behemoth decisions, but it didn't ruin the experience too much. There was also some connection issues, though I dunno if it's the servers or my shit Internet. I can't say much for the campaign, as I've only played the first mission. I've heard it's a real short single player, but battlefield hasn't been about that for a long time now. 7-9/10 would be my guestimation to joes review lol. Unless they fuck the launch like they did bf4

Chris Koloski I know what flashbangs are dude. But I didn't understand why your ears would pop when Joe says "superman". And I agree about superman, he's uncreative. But he can still function as a good plot device, especially as the villain. His stories need to be written about what he can't do with his powers, to create a true struggle--the ones that are about him coping with an internal struggle or something like that. Those work pretty well. For example I liked him in Injustice. Superman fans hate when he's the villain, but honestly he's more interesting that way. The problem is combat is always a simple: Superman beats basically everyone, basically always, barring exceptional circumstances and the old boring Kryptonite copout.

Spiderman would be cool too. Swinging through town with the controllers.

Making VR games is a lot harder and different than 2D games.

No, it's okay. Watch the developers speak about the topic. Look at Oculus' channel and Valve's channel to see the talks about making VR games and why it's different and harder. Developers say themselves that it's like starting from scratch again in game development.

I'd rather work like a day or two more for some overtime and buy the PSVR and the same when ps5 is released. No big deal, just a few hundred bucks, even if it sucks it's just a day or two more of work to pay for it. Who cares

GucciArzola Unless VR is brought to consoles as an accessory that you can purchase in a bundle, I doubt it will become mainstream. The graphics and motion sickness is what's holding it back, so you'd need a powerful gaming rig to run it, and most people don't have that.

Or buy a GTX-1080 and do REAL 4k gaming and VR

SPOILERS!!!! Saw a playthrough. The person who died was Knightwing but he could not have been killed since he appears in Arkham Knight. At the end of the game after Robin is killed by Killer Croc you are taken into a trippy version of the intense treatment wing of Arkham Asylum and throughout the game Batman makes commentary that the person who killed Knightwing knew EXACTLY how kill him and cut off his escape routes and at the end of the hallway as you check the cells The Joker is in one and suddenly all the commentary makes sense. Joker talks about the "Dynamic Duo" being back together but he wasn't referring to Batman and Robin but himself and Batman and you see Batman snapping Knightwing's neck and you see his eyes are green. Then as you look in the mirror you see data indicating he's infected and his reflection is that of Joker referencing to Arkham Knight's plot about the infected Joker victims. The whole game is Batman realizing he's also infected with The Joker's blood and how he was already aware in Arkham Knight and made preparations in the theater to isolate himself until he could be cured when Scarecrow decided to make his reappearance.

Not quite. It's got a bunch of demos, yeah. But Wii Sports had fantastic replay-ability. It was one of the most fun games on the Wii for a long time. I knew multiple people who only owned like 2 or 3 games, one being Wii Sports. Also, was a way more social experience.

It looks basic when you're watching just a video of it. It's another thing entirely when you're using/experiencing it. Let's just say the poor graphics are forgivable. I will say the cinema mode and menus for the playstation VR look like shit though.

Try it before you knock it. Watching it on a youtube video does not do it justice. Nothing ground breaking but it has potential.

Accounting. Go check out some gameplay on that. It honestly seems like the kind of game I'd want VR to have. It's a small free game on Steam, not like some bullshit video experiences or shitty teleport around the map games.

I hear that if the Kinect had've worked even a smidgen that the game was actually mechanically sound and possibly even a lot of fun. It seems like it would require a very minor investment from FROM to port it to VR and have everything work perfectly. It seems to me that considering the development cost they spent on it, recovering some of that cost by actually selling copies of a working port would be a no brainer for them... if MS don't own the rights. They have said they're working on a PSVR game. Wonder what it is :p

Hotcakes exactly the only reason a lot of my Friends who were die hardcore steel battalion fans didn't get the game was that the game was just down right broke were as use a VR version seems like the perfect match for it I remember angry joe ripping the kinect version apart and thinking too myself that this isn't the right direction, were VR definitely suits steel battalion or 1st person mech games guess just have to wait and see
