This looks great! I will be first in line when you release this 👍 Some might say there are already loads of games like this out there, but making a game like this is such a creative endeavour - you're putting your own stamp on thr genre, taking the opportunity to do things how you think they should be done. I like, for example, that there is an increased liklihood of treaure behind a locked door. Side note - I'm making a game too (shocker)! Mine is more restrictive in its scope, no need for the player to generate anything themselves, beyond their character. Think Miru, but traditional fantasy (and probably not as accomplished as that game!). I mention this now as I've just added rules for getting lost and I like yours way more. Gonna go ahead and steal if that's ok 🙂
Hell yeah! Thank you for the kind words, friend. And of course, steal away! This entire project of mine is a hodgepodge of ideas I like anyway, haha. By the way, I really enjoy your videos, is there any way to reach you on Discord? If you prefer not to share in a public comment, my email is brndnyu@gmail.com :D
Drawing and watching! Keenly interested in where we are going here! What started as a sheet last week for me has turned into pages,so know that "out of control sentiment"!
Neat, I've been noodling about making some custom rules for a game where you play a traveling merchant. Kind of doing a play test now using Maze Rats, sandbox generator, and The Solo Wargaming Guide. One thing I'm trying to sort out is generating maps on grid paper instead of hex. Also trying to see if the idea is actually any fun lol
Ooh that sounds rad! Solo Wargaming Guide has some good information on map generation if I recall, and the information on trade and stuff in there is probably great for a merchant solo RPG.
