'Please don't hate us' - that's the message from one of the survivors of the Christchurch mosque shootings.
Temel Atacocugu was in the Al Noor mosque at the time of attacks, and made eye-contact with the gunman as he began shooting.
The first bullet should have killed him, but it didn't, nor did the eight others that also hit him.
Instead he has spent the last year in surgery, rehab, physiotherapy, and counselling.
