**PLEASE TAKE ACTION**
Earlier this month Capital FM radio Yorkshire ran a competition where listeners could win a ‘Night at the dogs’ with DJ’s Adam and JoJo at Owlerton dog track in Sheffield. Sadly despite appeals from advocates the event went ahead on Friday September 15th
We have compiled a video of racing accidents that happened at Owlerton while the competition was running and appealing to Capital radio - Adam and JoJo not to support this cruel gambling industry.
Please contact the station and enclose this link to the appeal video • Please don't support t... and please remember to be polite and informative. Thank you!

Before anybody forms an opinion go and look round your local racing kennels and I defy you to find any neglect or abuse.

I am fed up of the lies that are being spread about greyhound racing. I am not a trainer or breeder but I can tell you these dogs are looked after better than people are. If you do not believe me go and visit your local racing kennels. People involved in racing are doing it because they love greyhounds! I visited a Patrick Janssens kennels and took my daughter along and she is a vegan for ethical reasons. She was so impressed she now works there. Most of these anti racing groups are not charities and they are pocketing the donations. You should all be looking at owners who do not look after their dogs. Being anti unbeknown to you means you are being anti greyhound. I have direct experience and own 2 retired greyhounds and visit the kennels all the time. Form your own opinions from direct experience rather than from people who are trying to line their pockets and kill off the most wonderful of all dog breeds. Pleas listen to me as racing supports the longevity, health and beauty of the breed.

The type of people promoting this agenda are so out of line with real life. Do they know that one vet in England gets 20 dogs a year with injuries from throwing sticks for a pet? There are 27,200 registered vets in the UK if they all got just one pet with a stick throwing injury that would be a mighty mighty sum. ( never mind 20) Why are these people not out, in their local park, stopping people from throwing sticks. How many pets are taken to the vet after swallowing a ball or other chewy toy? Very many I would assume………..It’s life, live and let live. Greyhound racing, today, is very strict on welfare issues in this country. The ANTIS would have you believe that people are happy to pay over a thousand pounds, for a young dog, and have it abused. Total balderdash. They would have you believe that an owner would pay ( up front before it ever races ) £200 towards the dogs retirement and find it a forever home after racing. The days of the mining villagers with cheap greyhounds and stuffing them full of pies are long gone but these people are using that against owners of today. Just because racing has become “ a money making industry” doesn’t mean owners don’t care. Every single racing greyhound is owned by someone like the people that throw sticks and balls in the park for their pet.
