This was timely for me. I keep waking up with anxiety and I’m trying to figure out why. You helped me to see it’s ok to be present with myself and figure it out for however long it takes.

Damon this video is so relevant for my family and I at this very moment. My husband passed on January 21 after one year with lung disease, our only 11 year old child who had an extremely close relationship with his Dad and adored him , he called him his best friend, is going through this huge void in his life as I am trying to support him with the best of my ability, I am sure we will need therapy since the loss is huge, However the gift of his love and presence with us during his life is so beautiful and we will carry it forever! He was and still is a truly gift in our lives. I wish you a good recovery, take care of yourself, stay in the present and allow all the emotions pass through you as you breath. Much love!💚Thank you for posting!

I'm truly sorry for the trials you have been facing. Seriously. These words may seem hollow, but they are sincere: stay strong and hang in there. Try to keep faith that these events will make you stronger. You have so much more good to share with the world. I will be praying for you. In my life, I have had many extraordinarily answered prayers. I wish the same for you.

There are also a team of medical researchers at Stellenbosch University in South Africa that have focused on conditions related to "long C" (I shortened the term to avoid this comment being deleted.) "Long C is used to describe persistent C19 symptoms that continue weeks, even months after recovering from the crnavirus. The condition has baffled doctors and scientists and now a team of scientists from Stellenbosch University may have found its cause. The discovery of a special molecule that prevents the body’s ability to break down clots has since been peer-reviewed and published. Distinguished Professor and Chair of Stellenbosch University's Physiological Science Department, Resia Pretorius, elaborates."

I'm so sorry you're going through this, PLEASE take care of yourself. In response to what you said about hoping you are not coming off as selfish, I thought you were actually being selfless. ❤....As for the message of the video, when my mom passed on, it took me 2 full years until I began to sit with my grief and tend to it. Very hard to do, especially since I've never felt grief or anxiety prior to her death. But I'm better for it. Thank you for all your gems we appreciate it.

A harrowing experience. Ever since I experienced Covid nearly 1-1/2 years ago, I have these attacks where my heart starts hammering in my chest, and I have what feels like an extreme hot flash. I turn beet red and have heat radiate off of my entire body. I turn faint and nearly black out during the attack. These attacks last around 20 mins, and leave me exhausted for the rest of the day. And of course, no doctor has any clue as to what the problem is. Good luck on your recovery.

I checked on your channel about a week ago (I don’t do app notifications, I just manually check in with a small handful of favorite channels). Between that day and your last video upload, I had been thinking, “he’s probably just taking a break, which is totally warranted and understandable.” When I checked in and still didn’t even see a community post, I started to worry but thought, “I’m sure he will be back any day now. Commenting will only put pressure on him to cut his break short.” Then, as another week passed, I really started to get worried. When I opened the app today, your channel was first on my homepage, and I was truly shocked by the image of you in an ambulance…I honestly still have a lump in my throat as I type this after watching the entirety of the video…😥 Firstly, I am so glad you’re ok, and I thank you for sharing your experience + insightful thoughts with us! Secondly, your videos always provide SO much meaning and value. However, I want you to realize/ remember that YOU are invaluable, appreciated, loved, and sincerely cared for (and not just because of your video content or what you can “provide”)….And I am 100% confident that the rest of your community (both here on YT and IRL) would very much agree with my sentiments. Also wanted to say sorry for not commenting on the last few videos- I have been trying to limit my phone/ screen time, so I mostly watch YT videos when I am walking on the treadmill and have been forgetting to go back and comment after I’m done waking! Just wanted to say that your videos continue to be incredible and have such a positive impact on my life, so thank you very much! And here are a few random notes I have off the top of my head from past videos- I think you do so well talking without a script (eg. campfire video + this video)! My husband and I also like those “Scandinavian Swimmers” gummies from Trader Joe’s!😂…I mainly like them because I’m vegan and they are one of the few gummies out there that happen to be vegan! What did you and your girlfriend think of Sicario?…It’s actually one of my husband’s top favorite movies of all time (he even has a movie prop from it)! In one of your past videos your focus was on identifying what is “enough” for each of us as individuals, and I agree that this is so important…A week or so before that video, my husband’s boss approached him with a promotion, which would include a pay raise at the cost of additional work + responsibilities….And I basically told him what you later talked about in that video- to identify what is “enough”…I said that I really want him to evaluate the pros + cons and be honest with himself about whether or not the additional work will be stretch himself too thin and cause him to hate his work….I reminded him that we are doing fine financially, and I don’t want him to feel pressured into taking the promotion because of the additional income….there has to be a lot more “pros” than just the money (for instance, one pro is that he does think it will challenge him more, in good/new ways, and thus make work more exciting/ stimulating). He hasn’t had a follow up meeting with his boss yet, so there’s still more time for him to think on it, and after your video I did remind him further about the things he needs to seriously consider when making his decision. Anyways, sorry this was a lot. Just wanted to express how much of an impact you have on others, what a relief it is to know you’re ok and are recovering, and how much you are appreciated and cared for! Sending lots of positive energy and hugs!! 🤗❤️

I appreciate your comment more than you can imagine!! Such very kind and thoughtful words! No worries about commenting! I totally get it! I actually consume my content on the treadmill as well! And when you do comment I always love our conversations! Scandinavian swimmers are the best!! Except I have to admit I have some emptyish bags in the pantry just full of yellow ones haha! Not my favorites. She really enjoyed Sicario, we watched it while we were in Mexico and we were really close to the jungle so it made it so exciting! I really like the second one so I look forward to when that’s streaming! So cool your husband has a prop!! I am so happy to hear about you and your husband’s discussion on “enough”!! To hear there needs to be more pros than money is music to my ears and will lead to a very well thought out decision when the time does come! And congratulations to you both for the opportunity of a promotion if you decide to go that way!! Thank you again for reaching out!! I am so glad for all you shared and I look forward to our next chat!🤍🤍

I can somewhat relate to your experience at the end of October 2022 I caught COVID and every day felt like a struggle but at the same time, it felt like a gift because I really could have been in a worse position. To this day I feel like I haven't 100% recovered from this experience both mentally and physically, but as time passes I see a slow recovery. I had to adjust to new circumstances. I noticed that since 2022 overall was a terrible year for me I realized that I can make 2023 one of the best years of my life. I made a huge list of things that I would like to achieve during 2023, and I have to say I achieved 97% of them. I also made a ton of memories, being spontaneous is not my thing, but I quickly realized that it's really fun doing new things that you didn't even plan to experience. 2023 was all of the best years in my life, it was the year that I met you, which has been a fantastic experience so far. Thank you for sharing what has been recently happening in your life, you become more mature and more adaptable to change, and overall you demonstrated what a growth mindset is all about. Thank you, Damon, once again and God bless you, God bless your family, I wish you a fast recovery :)

Glad you're back and recovering. Wish you all the best! Awesome viewpoint on anxiety and other "bad" emotions (don't want to call them bad haha). A similar thing I noticed while listening is that finding graditude in the moment, no matter if good or bad and striving to feel normal again also translates to my thinking about the future. The mindest I currently have is all about striving toward some goal in the future and therefore not appreciating where I am now. Of course that is not entirely bad. I am afraid that constantly sacrificing the present for a better future will ultimately come to haunt me when it's too late. So, thank you for sharing your story and your thoughts.

I wanted to apologize, I didn’t see the second half of your comment on RU-vid studio! It’s such a balance and the end of the day! And it is dang hard to find it! It’s great to have goals and to strive for more. I certainly have some very intense qualities and often find myself working very hard for my goals. I think it really boils down to those small moments when you’re microwaving your food or taking out the trash or going on a walk where those moments of gratitude and self reflection can slip in and really help balance. I am by no means an expert but it helps to hear we’re both right there together! I think no matter what we will have things come back and bite us, at least we’re just doing our best at the end of the day! So glad you reached out!

Your experience sounds intense, especially since you and your doctor are still unsure of the cause. The blood clots are one thing you should definitely look into more carefully, especially if you, like many others over the last two years, have received one or more injections of a certain treatment. The symptoms you describe are actually very typical for healthy, young, athletic males who are vulnerable. It makes me wonder why your doctor did not mention this to you.
