That may be! I do find some things easier with watercolor. I find it easier to achieve a loose effect with watercolor since it's so fluid. I feel like I've got a lot to learn. I'm looking forward to further exploration!
First a tour of where he reposes Lots of fruit and a bouquet of roses Eschews the champagne, musical interlude Shared interest, love of art in an interview Kids sailing toy boats down through the ages Crouching that long, my knees seek assuages Become a patron before you go away Left the camera behind, glad it’s okay 😁 Both watercolors are wonderful. This is a beautiful film. Thanks for sharing! Peace and love..Suz What ☮️💛
Love your vlogs that show some of the behind the scenes of what you're eating and doing in addition to your paintings. Currently re-watching some of your older ones with the house maintenance and surfing - find them so calming!
Your film making style makes the world around you seem so artistic and beautiful, every shadow and building seems to have so much beauty and purpose. Your paintings have been inspiring me to get back into watercolour!
I’ve watched this 3 times this morning while making my coffee. What a cozy vlog. I’m headed to Paris at the end of the month and this has filled me with so much excitement and inspiration ❤️

Paris suits you Michael. You fit right in. I’ve already told you that I’m glad to see you doing some watercolor. As along time watercolorist I know the medium can be difficult. It dries lighter, not darker . So go ahead and put down those darks. Lights are very important in watercolor, but remember you Must have the darks in order to show the light. Such as the sun on one side of a building, or a lighthouse. Thanks for all you do, Michael. 🌴Plant City, Fl🌴
I love your travel painting videos! Bravo for the blue plaid shirt and hairy face. Hello to your new painting friend. She is talented and charming ! ❤️
Michael, ( see a filmed book , as pages turn successively, a blank appears, it fills with spoken words being written , letters of all manner of colors , their shapes, sizes , dimensional , Stirring memories of future, , through a vision’s partial perception seen in the near past. . . collectively the purity of art’s “ own” creation’s )🙂
Absolutely love your art and film work! So inspiring! I am studying abroad in Florence Italy next semester and I am so excited! I hope I get to experience these types of interactions you are able to have with strangers! I love meeting new people and I am so excited to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds!
this video really gave me the itch to start watercoloring. I'm sure I'll be terrible at first but the process seems very calming yet puzzle-like. Enjoyed both your unique styes !
I am loving these vlog style plein air outings! Love to see where you're staying and the stare at the sixty five pound breakfast hahaha! Llved seeing the painting of the monument, you both did so great! I bet you're just loving the portability of watercolor! :D
I love these type of vlogs so much. It's so nice to see the different perspective on each painting. I love how you share your knowledge and learn from each other. It's so wholesome. You are both so so talented! Amazing video as always!! Thanks for sharing! 🧡💛
Such vibrancy in the trees! You both did a great job of replicating that. Most times what I watercolor never looks like what I am seeing! I have a hard time being "loose" with it!
Nice autumnal weather in Paris and some great paintings. i think i've got the same watercolour set you have - just haven't used it. need to dust off the watercolours and explore that medium. Another great video - thanks for sharing it.
holy crap, your diet is a health nut one. loving it. Best of both worlds, nothin would hit better than a great healthy meal and an outdoor work on some painting or sketch.
I thoroughly enjoyed the painting sequences, next spring I’m definitely crossing La Manche with my paintbox. The passers by in the video are also a source of amusement. It’s clear they are curious, so much rubber necking to see what is going on. It’s a pity barely anyone is prepared to chat, to ask about the painting process. Respect or fear?
Bien jolie ton petit film. I used to listen to ”Les Champs Elysée” by Joe Dassin all the time when I was a child. Now I can’t get it out of my head. 😉. Love your watercolors (and oil paintings of course). The Fall colors were beautiful and I'm sure inspirational.
Really interesting to see your two different styles put into the almost same scenery! Great plein air video as always! I hope the American breakfast was worth the money if you had the chance to try it!
Another great video, you really are such a talented artist both with painting and film. Your videos are captured so well they always seem to Brighten up my day.
I'm drawn to water so I spend most of my time down by the Seine but I really enjoy the parks as well. Luxembourg Gardens in particular. As for museums I always visit the Musee d'Orsay. There's so much to explore in Paris. Just walk around and enjoy!
@@chamberlainpaintings 😄😆 If I run into that article again, I can let you know the source. It claims you were born in a tiny BC village. So charming, though! 🌈🌈
I was just there in Sept- did you have someone filming you from afar or did you setup a camera? I so wanted to do this for my channel- but was afraid to setup my camera- will have hubs do it when I am back in France in June 2023- love this interaction and your Hotel is sweet!
you have a specific way of filming and I am curious of what is your inspiration, you have a favorite movie o director who inspired this style? also, I really like your vlogs!
I'm definitely inspired by Yasujiru Ozu. Being a painter has also influenced my approach to filming. I compose my shots the same way I compose my paintings.
Oh good! I haven't tried gouache yet. I was inspired to try watercolor by the watercolors of Homer and Hopper. Watercolor is also perfect for traveling. I love it.
Beautiful vlog, sir! I love it. Nice fancy hotel! Not a big fan of champagne??! lol ... That champagne could be really nice! lol ... Have a wonderful day!
@@chamberlainpaintings Well, I don't know actually, sir, a lot of people like champagne with strawberries. I personally drink it without fruit. But I don't drink much. lol ... Like five times a year. lol ... Cheers!
Fabulous! What arrondissement is that hotel? It's gorgeous. It's hard when you don't have a little kitchen - you have to hoard fruit! (we did the same while in Paris). Loving the watercolors. It's encouraging. Are you going to introduce your friend or did I miss that?
@@chamberlainpaintings Michael, truth is , I was hoping you would , ( the color phrase reference of the area goes with the phrased words “ yeah everybody does “” . Sometimes I think actually worry that my words are mis-interrupted, wanted to be sure
Who is filming for you or do you trust setting your camera on the ground when you walk away from the hotel. Thanks for sharing your painting and your adventure.
Hello! Thank you for your videos Do you have experience with waterbased oils? I'm also a painter and I wanna switch from acrylics to oils. They say its also an option, what do you think about it? I do abstract expressionism. Thank you!!!
I’m keep an eye out for a printing press, today is a song of the arts, keep thinking about differing pencils , and then, perhaps it’s actually the richness of the watercolor paint, , ,, ( replay )
