I just realized I've been jamming this album for over 2 years, and have never formally thanked the artists for their work. This is probably one of the best instrumental rock/metal albums I have ever heard, and dare I say it, ever will hear. Thanks, to both of you, Plini and Sithu Aye. You've manufactured a permanent imprint of influence on how I play music, and I am all the better for it.
+Lucas Jenkins Right? I discovered Plini just yesterday, myself, and I will never look at music the same way, again. I downloaded all his EP's and lucky me, then there was this one too!! I cant even believe it. It's tufukkengood
Seven years later, I just realized that David Maxim Micic and Jakub Zytecki also play in this EP and I just love this fact! In Plini's Bandcamp, it says David played the solo on Rupture and Jakub played the solo on Moonrise.
to an extent i agree; but we all know not everyone can enjoy this in the same way we can. i take solace in this being one of the best kept secrets in music altogether, and only people willing to seek it can find it. thats how we find OUR people
Without exaggeration, I am VERY sure I have been waiting a few years to hear 17:43-18:36. That is by far my favorite chord progression, my favorite atmosphere, my favorite instrument voicing. Everything about that section is just about perfect to me. Sithu Aye has mastered the bridge I have been dreaming about for years. I'm actually kind of jealous I didn't write it first haha. Pure bliss.
can't believe it's been almost 2 years since this was released already, time is going by too fast.. hurry up and re-fuckulate the time parameters so we can slow down time to create infinite albums
+420protoman Re-fuckulate eh? Does someone watch Trailer Park Boys or did you think of that randomly? Haha, apologies if not, I just know it's in that show so I had to ask.
Every song is beautiful beyond words, but "Rupture" undoubtedly takes the prize. I tell people there is 1 song that when i listen to it can make me cry when im sad and laugh when im happy. Its rupture. It encompasses so many emotions within its melodies that i cannot define. Its love and joy and so much more. Thanks Plini.
From 11:04 my brain turns into mincemeat You know fuck it, The whole EP's amazing. Just listen to all of, don't waste your time hearing any specific suggestions.
I'm always listening to this when I'm on the bus. It's as if the trip becomes 10x shorter! I can't wait for these two gods to come back and make a part 2 of this EP called U.... ;)
Solstice has to be my favorite. I love the funky grove it has. Plini and Sithu Aye work so well together, and they are both equally talented. I definitely have to give this one to Sithu Aye though. xD
10 Years later and still this music is Exquisite! Thanks Plini and Sithu. Please collaborate Again and perhaps there will be peace on earth or in the multiverse.
It's music like this that makes life worth living. I love it more than I've ever loved a woman. I love it more than I love myself! Thanks for teaming up and creating such wonderful music Plini and Sithu!!! You guys are the shiznit!
This is my favorite collaboration in prog music, I still think that it's their best job so far, Plini got a lot of feeling or touch for his music and C2Aye got mad energy and dynamics, and both are really skilled, even this is an some kind of early work you can hear they both did their best, I absolute love this work
I’m still sad that I can’t get this anywhere to buy 😭 If anyone knows where I can add it to my music and listen while I’m driving- I hate driving with RU-vid 😂
I listen to this almost every single day. It is a great album to program to - it motivates and gets the creative juices flowing. I feel like Rocky running up the steps and dragon kicking a baby.
Man i love that funk run at 12:07!!! This is all pure gold, amazing production. I'm also diggin the choppy-electronic ending of the album with that nostalgic melody!
The last minute of Solstice really reminded me of Happiness-era Dance Gavin Dance. Loved both guitarists for years and didn’t find out until now that they released something together.
I think it's one of the string-skipping hammer-on-from-nowhere tapping licks that have been really popular lately. Start an arpeggio or triad on the G, end with a tapped note, hammer onto the high e, do some more crazy tapping stuff.
The passage at 2:25 is quite similar to the song "Transcient Transistors" by Sithu Aye around 1:54, that's in fact exactly the same chords progression. Is this intended ?
I hate how amazing music like this goes under the radar while mindless, talentless studio pop with some supermodel who lip syncs her shit live makes millions.
