Using 22 CB Long with a Marlin 880 HV barrel. These projectiles drop over 1,000 inches in 500 yards, therefore, it’s the ONLY round I would consider shooting across the marsh, except for a shotgun, which has about the same range.
It's definitely not the 800 yard rifle range, or even the 300, but the good thing is, it's right in my back yard. We just have to limit our ammo to 22 CB, for safety reasons, as all other projectiles travel way too far.
