Update: Our snow plow driver started his own RU-vid-channel and posted this very interesting video on how you operate the truck. So give him a like and subscribe to his channel for more videos 😍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f4sIFfgzxFk.html
@@rivermcratt3683 Its almost 26min long and has one little part with music...and that is because the radio was playing a song that was copyright claimed.
Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ru-vid.comUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.
Fuck clear roads especially salt... I haven't found any amount of snow to stop my jacked up truck. I also help people who get stuck for free cause it's fun
The worst thing is when you leave for work after hundreds of other people have played that game and gotten the answer wrong. You have no choice but to follow their tracks, even though they don't align correctly with the road...intersections become chaos.
Just love how the truck is so quiet compared to American snow plowing videos, no engine, noise no road noise, just the wipers, and the radio relaying latest Hockey results. ASRM for the win!
This is why people from the north of Sweden make fun of people from Stockholm when it makes national news when it snows in Stockholm. And then it only snows like barely 5 cm.
And the commuter trains (”pendeltåg”) stop going on time as soon as we get more than 2 cm of snow... It’s like nobody gets the connection winter-snow... ;) Hey, guys, we had snow last winter too, remember?
Something similar happens here in the US. I'm from Minnesota, but this probably applies to anywhere that regularly gets a proper winter: We tend to laugh a little or just be confused when somewhere in the country a couple inches of snow falls and it makes national news. It would take a few feet of snow here to get a couple seconds on the national news. Needless to say, the last few weeks have been very puzzling for me: "What do you mean two inches of snow shuts down the entire southern half of America?"
@@ebnertra0004 Inch of snow in PA leads to milk shortages, and they get snow every bloody year. -_- And Oregon? Quarter inch, suddenly no one knows how to drive.
@@ebnertra0004 The thing is population, more people more chaotic during heavy snow. In Stockholm its fine until heavy snow comes. Especially if the heavy snow comes in a few hours during the morning commutes for example. EVERYONE is going somewhere and the plows get stuck in traffic etc. People are people and the more there are higher the chances there is incompetence the aswell. especially in traffic
Being from Oregon, I can confirm. If it even rains, people forget how to drive. On the few occasions there is decent snowfall, there are people spun out or stuck on curbs every 200 feet.
After such a lackluster winter we had last time in Finland, this was a welcome change. We had tons of snow on the 12th of January or so, and it has been freezing for well over a month. Hopefully this will keep up. *Thumbs up*
He probably has a camera in the rear, if it's a hook truck, to see where the hook is when he's putting down and pulling up flatbeds, gravel tubs, etc. It's usually only connected to a screen in the cab, so you probably can't download any footage.
@@MrMahdim we have orange sticks/rods with reflectors on them placed along the roads specifically for the ploughing, to show the drivers where the edges are. However, when it’s as intense as in the video, they’re not helping much, so drivers trust their local knowledge, they see where ditches/previous ploughing walls are etc.
Wonderful, thank you. Here in the UK the country would come to a standstill if we have thee snowflakes!! Take care and it’s good to see you again. All the best. Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍
Look at his channel now and he uses more cameras, as long as they work without snow-cover! YT Channel name: "Got Snow?" :D He made a 2 hours Live a couple of days ago!
Stay safe all you drivers in this winter weather. A big thank you to you Trucker Dashcam//Sweden for posting this Video, I hope your health keeps improving and we shall see you on the roads once more
Ha, now I have to laugh, you are going like a rocket with that weather, and here in the Netherlands the whole country is flat when 5 cm of snow has fallen. No traffic possible, no trains, no planes ..... pathetic ..🥶
So good to see you again!! Well, Sweden finally looks like it is expected to look like in the winter - covered with snow!! I hope you are going to be back behind the wheel soon...I look forward to your videos, listening to your commentary and seeing your beautiful country. Get well soon, my friend!
It looks fun plowing snow :) I live the city north of Piteå :) I'm studying for C + CE driving license now, if I end up driving truck I'd totally wish get dashcam and share in future
We also got snow i Denmark, we have around 10 - 20 cm in my area, so nothing like 90 cm :O Thanks for sharing, and thanks for keeping the road safe / accessible. :)
There's like 5cm of snow here in the Netherlands and everything is shut down. To be fair though, there are also strong winds and we are just not prepared for snow because it almost never snows.
waiting until it really snows this year. In February last year there was more snow than normal + thunder We had about a meter here in Örnsköldsvik of 2 storms
That's one job I'd never be able to do for a number of reasons 1: don't get snow in the UK 2: I legally can't drive a wagon (truck) 3: I find work like this to be therapeutic and will just fall asleep at the wheel
4. And with modern strong LED lights you will have seizures by glimmer from the snow! ;D I've gone back to max colour temperature of 4300K now and less on at same time when working in snow.
Awesome and depressing. Awesome amount of snow, and depressing because it isn't like that here. And yes, a Canadian complaining about a lack of snow seems weird I suppose.
I'm ignorant to the profession and technology you have but is there a such thing as a heated plow to prevent snow build up like I see on this plow? Seems like it would make plowing easier.
Do you mean on top of the plow. No there is not. And its a problem. When the plow becomes White i cant use my 800 watt LED Light abowe the plow its just bounce back in my eyes. In Ohly using the Roof Lights in this video.
Yep, it wasn't fun digging out my car after those days... it was pretty much just a big pile of snow. :) Nice videos, thanks to you and whoever actually recorded it!
Totally awesome!!! So jealous....love making the first track of snow....memories...thk u for a great ride! Keep on keepin' on! 30 yrs driving truck, retired now...and I am a girl..ha ha!! Fantastic!
The stuck tractor looked like a classic Volvo from the 1970's one like it still works locally here. Many thanks to all the snow workers around the world of course it must be scary sometimes when you can not see where the road is or where you are going. Lovely run with the very soothing relaxing music at the end. Enjoyed that. Take care of yourself and hopefully we will see you on the road again soon. Best wishes from the UK.
@@gotsnow6380 They were built to last obviously as the local saw mill has had his from new in 1974 and it is still working, it can be seen working somewhere on my channel, it's driver only has one arm. Thank you for the information Erik.
A beautiful winter wonderland. Thank you snow plow man. I wonder how many letter boxes you take out. Good to see you Andreas. Keep safe and well my friend.
On plow-trucks/tractors/wheel loaders we often use heated wipers. They come in both water- or electrical heated versions. The water-heated are more for extrem duty as on snowblower vehicles and trucks on airstrips going very fast! But a normal is: Don't have defrost on windscreen and the snow will not stick if it's cold outside. A warm jacket is also better than a hot cab!
Here is the link to his channel. No real plowing videos out now...but maybe they will come if you subscribe :) ru-vid.com/show-UCn10f1cuXfHk2kT_cD4_anQvideos
Razorkittn - Trucker Cassie started plowing, so you can see a bit of the technique on her channel as well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ugViEn4xb_8.html
Why did you take all the snow for yourself? I've got no snow in Landskrona at all >_>' It feels like this part of Skåne is placed in totally different climate zone than the rest of the county.
Momentum is your friend 🤣 Good job, and thanks for taking us along on such a beautiful ride into the sunrise... (? I’m guessing). Only -5C here in Romania... after a week of daytime highs of -5C and nighttime lows down to -15C 🇷🇴🇬🇧👍🏻
Kudos to Mr. Snowplough Andreas!!! 😎😎😎 We have 1 cm of snow here near the coast of Northumberland, I think we may need his services the way some folks are driving 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Good to see you sir, hope things will head in the right direction for you this year 👍🤞🇬🇧
Its seems like it’s worse than here in Poland. Although there is also snow and cold. I have to say that on one hand I hate snow but on the other, at least it feels like winter.
Okey, but when it's worse than that we start up our tracked vehicles here in Sweden. I've gone to school on a snowmobile sometimes! And that is a lot more fun than going by schoolbus! We had a parking for snowmobiles at our school already in late 60's and not allowed to drive them between lectures!
