True trash to treasure.. those plugs are so over looked in the scrapping world .. I’ve been saving plug ends for about 2 years that I’ve pulled out probably should weigh those up at sometime 🤣great show brother 👊🏻

Nice job Ralph, that is total recycling! Turning the pins into brass bars. The weight of the pins adds up quickly. Interesting to see how many configurations of power receptacles there are. Canada and the US use a standard configuration for all power equipment.

The screams were just some people walking by, the garage is on a corner so I need to re-shoot some parts and edit out other noises often, but because they cheered just as I had poured the ingot it was somewhat fitting and I left it in 😁👍

@@ralphmourik worked in iron house (foundry). We had a Mach repair 25 dollars a hr. He would take 2 dollar table lamp switches apart and fix for something to do. I ran cupolas for couple years we picked thru scrap iron pile for lead, brass, copper and zinc for something to do when things ran good. I had a pouring cup I sat over the trough and melted to small pig molds. Iron was 2800 degrees in trough did a lot of cooking over it to. 80 % of time was watching ,10% cleaning splash off troughs, 10% patching burnouts and holes in bottom. Bottoms were fun drain it out, Put ball of clay on 10 foot board hit the spot leaking with water hose to freeze off iron, take board hold up in air smash clay ball on leak blow blast patch over hole and fire it back up usually took about 45 minutes then I took about hour break to cool down. By then iron would be melted out then I dropped bottom and cool pile off. End of night we had pile of white hot coke enough to fill a pickup truck.
