I'm catching this video late but if your flooring is not down yet I would recommend a coat of polyurethane on the floor to seal the sheetrock dust in

Sheet rockers only hang sheet rock, The gas valve must be accessible, Everything needs to be looked at, This is very common where I live,

Definitely all recessed items should be framed before drywall. Looking forward to the outcome.

then you run into last minute changes of vanities, countertops, backsplashes and other additions, which then moves the recessed items around, up/down/left/right a few inch more. now try to get the framing out without destroying the drywall! often the painting may even be underway at that point. yep, it's smarter to make sure there's a larger void there, cut the hole then pad the studs out to mount the cabinet too, none of them really almost nothing mounts at the top or bottom, so only the side need padded out, that also allows you to not stub over-cabinet fixtures out and end up with a hole or wire in the wrong spot, you just cut it in later and can reach up through the cabinet hole to position the wire for box.

Chuck, it was this this for 33 yrs in a police uniform I know it was like this in the firehouse….I miss the serious laughs.
