Very informative channel here, just subscribed. I just replaced 50 year old (16 feet) cast iron with 3 inch PVC, went with 1/4 to 3/8 pitch and it all flows out into the septic great. Love you channel, it's better than most.

I have (A) 3% pitch of 100mm pipe, it has a 90 turn at base of toilet bowl and 45 turn at the end of pipe which is 3.3m (B) separate pipe with 8% pitch 100mm 1.2m (120cm) length with 90 turn on the start next to bowl and a second 90 turn on the end which then ties/drops vertical into ceptic. Curious if these 2 are ok.

In nyc 90’s are only legal when facing down. Not sure about the rest.

Is 45ft 4" pipe with a drop of 14" accepted

That is more than enough pitch. You’re good.

1 inch per 4', not 5'. 1/4 inch per foot
@balkanplumbing

Mathematically you are correct. Rule of thumb and within code 1” per 5’ is just fine.

@@balkanplumbing If 2-1/2" or less, 1" per 5' not per IPC code. IPC code Table 704.1 says not less than 1/4" per foot. 1" per 5' would be 1/5" (0.2") per foot, which violates the code.

3" to 6" pipe 1/8" slope, 1" per 8'. 8" or larger pipe, 1/16" slope, 1" per 16'
