Pluto is one of the most well made anime this year, written by Naoki Urasawa, the creator of Monster and animated by Studio M2, the studio created by Masao Maruyama, the founder of Studio MAPPA and Madhouse.
Pluto is such an amazing anime that deserve a lot more recognition. The anime consist of Action, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Suspense genres. Mecha and Psychological themes. It's Demographic is Seinen. It's a reinterpretation of the story called Astro Boy. It has characters such as Gesicht, Atom, Epsilon and North #2.

For me it is in my top 3 anime this year besides Frieren and Vinland saga.

Anime of the year indeed. It deserves the critical acclaim unlike the much overrated Oshi no Ko.

I think Oshi no Ko is great, it just has a lot of highs and lows while Pluto is consistently on the same level.

@@Huno0imo oshi no ko lost it's plot after 5-6 episodes. It just went Off topic everytime.

This is honestly one of my top anime of all time next to FMAB, Trigun, and Vinland Saga. I'm not sure where on the list (probably #4 or #5), but this is just an incredible series. I grew up as somewhat of a fan of Astro Boy (I grew up with the 2009 movie and I was a big fan of Mega Man despite sucking at playing it) and I love Bladerunner, so I was super hyped when I found out this series existed. I don't keep up with the anime season too much, but this is up there with Vinland Saga and Trigun Stampede for me. I need to watch Freiren and the final AOT episode.

As for it being predictable we need to remember its still set in world of ASTRO BOY in middle of series. All his past adventures happened and his future adventures will happen. People that knew "Greatest robot on earth" story arc knew that all robots will die and Atom will defeat Pluto in the end. That was point of story to have sympathy for somebody without plot armor.

Still I wouldnt call series predictable SPOILER when protagonist dies in episode 6 long before finale

I meant the characters were predictable, not the story. Like I knew who is going to be the "bad guy". For me it was pretty obvious. Not that it's a bad thing obviously, it was more about figuring out and understanding everyone's intentions , which I really liked.

@@jacek107ify same I know that SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . . Gesicht will die at some point but the way he ended was quite brutal and caught me off guard, but well thanks to him ATOM is fully reborn and brings world peace once again

I might be a bit biased because I really enjoy these types of anime, but I can't think of any others that were better. Perhaps Oshi no Ko and Frieren come close, but that's about it.

Actually, It's in my top 3 anime of this year. When I write that above comment I excidently include anime's form the fall season of last year also… my bad. And some anime that I enjoy the most form this year are probably (not in any order) are: Vinland Saga S-2, New Bleach, Oshi no Ko, Mushoku Tensei S-2, Link Click S-2, Pluto, Attack on Titan (special) @@abadyr_

Yeah, 1 episode covers an entire volume, at least we have the whole anime out and don't have to wait years.

Overall Pluto is very good indeed. But there are 2 things I didn't like. For some reasons, except Atom, the kids really piss me off. The second thing is parallelism with our real world politics.

It's no surprise that naoki urasawa brings real-life politics into his work sometimes, hell the entire premise of Billy Bat was a some bat entity caused havoc shit like JFK assassination and 9/11.
