Follow us on this adventure as Neil takes our Moody 33S from Plymouth to Exmouth. The weather forecast was changeable & this proved very true. Going form 3 knots to 16 knots in three minutes. Later going around Salcombe building up to 25knots. As with most sailing adventures when you just have to be some where on a certain date the wind and waves are on your nose. 10 hours to do 48 miles! To complicate things, track pulleys and reefing lines dropping of on route. But the winter sailing is now over and we can look forward to some spring weather and sunshine.

YES. When I got to 60 i suddenly realised that working all the time to pay the bills was not what it is about. Like many people the Corona virus changed my mind set. The first time in my life i had free time WOW

I did the same trip on Monday and stopped over in Torquay harbour. Start point was certainly lumpy as the tide turned! I went outside the Skerries Bank and put the kettle on instead of stopping at Dartmouth. Well done it was a stiff winter sail!

There were not many boats out there. I went around 4 miles off shore but the sea was much calmer closer in, less swell. What was the name of your boat?
