Just wanted to show how versatile this kit is. Considering it can be used to build a machine with a 2400x1200 (or larger) work area, does not mean it's not capable of fine detail work.
Here is an example of some text being engraved. I chose to do it on an old RAM IC to put the text size into perspective. The chips are about 11x13mm. The one on the right was done first with 2mm high lettering, second one is 1.5mm high. I could probably do under 1mm with a finer tip, but keep in mind this is done using a cheap Ozito router. I did measure the collet runout but can't remember the figure. Still, pretty good results IMHO.
