I had a job today to rebate some drawer fronts and doors, and thought it would be a good opportunity to show the machine working and test out my new rubber flap dust shoe.
To do the pocketing I used a 20mm single flute bit with a 80% stepover. Spindle RPM was 18,000 and a feed rate of 1.8m/min.
There was a lot of MDF being removed, the vacuum was having a hard time keeping up - at 2.45 you can see the cyclone in action and then I compare the flat shoe vs the rubber flap one.
