In response to all those people who asked about plans in my other vids, I decided to design & build a kit made from exterior grade plywood which can be shipped worldwide.
If you can source some 100x50x3mm steel tube, cut it to size and drill some holes, you can put this CNC router together. The kit includes all the hardware - all the CNC cut ply pieces, the covers, all the bearings, bolts, nuts, limit & home switches, cable chain, etc.
The included router mount is to suit an Ozito router - a popular, low cost router available in Australia. You may have to modify or replace the mount depending on your router model.
A DVD with full assembly instructions is included with the kit, as well as a complete wiring diagram to make it easy to wire it up right the first time. I can also supply all the motors, electronics, etc.
Most important, the Mach3 XML file is included. All the steps per unit, all the inputs and outputs, all the home and limit switches are set up. You will be up & running in minutes.
You can choose to build the machine as large or small as you like, and the build time should only be a day or 2 once you have everything you need.
The machine uses rack & pinion on the Z axis, and chain on X & Y. Rapids are 25.7m/min (1000 IPM), cutting speed depends on many factors. In the vid, it's cutting 16mm MDF in 2 passes at 2.5m/min (about 100 IPM)
