Raikou is a Brontosaurus, a dinosaur with a long neck. Brontosaurus literally means "Thunder lizard". EDIT: And to those saying Brontosaurus doesn't really exist; neither do Paradox Pokemon, which makes it even more perfect 👌

That applin form is one of my favourite new pokemon, i dont know what the people who designed it were thinking, but i love it

12:38 it’s a sauropod. Waking Wake was based off a velociraptor, so I’d assume this is another type of dinosaur. And just like walking wake it’s probably going to be a lot larger then it seems.

Me and my friends and I had the same reaction to bridge duraludon. I love it because the fact that it goes from a menacing, imposing stature to.. a bridge is so quirky! + duraludon was one of my favourite gen 8 mons. Also the lighting up of your face when you saw Mamoswine line is back being so joyful followed by the confusion of "But why a bridge..?" is so hilarious to me xD Side note: I LOVE THE CHARACTER DESIGNS OF SCARLET AND VIOLET SO MUCHHH when I saw Kieran (the little shy kid) my heart melted. Just *so* cute.

Perrin literally has Irida's hairstyle and Adaman's hair colors. I wonder if there is any relation.

I really hope they bring back the trading cable from Legends in one of the DLCs. Legends was the first time I could use trade evolution pokemon and I'd like to do it again.

Finally we Violetbros got one. Cobalion looks SICK as a killer machine.

Its a Brontosaur. Just like Walking Wake was a Raptor. All 3 will be Dinosaurs/Dinosaur Adjacent. Anyways, wait until you see the official art of it, it looks better there, than the limited look we got in the trailer.

I REALLY hope this new Applin is Fairy-Grass (cause it's a candied apple) and it becomes Fairy-Dragon when it evolves. That would give us our first *permanent* Fairy-Dragon, and two of them at that! Edit: Should've finished the video. Maybe Dipplin still evolves into a Fairy-Dragon type or is that type itself?

New Pokémon forms, some for new Pokémon like applin and new paradox Pokemon as well. I am excited to play part 1 in a couple of weeks time. This going to be fun.

I'd argue that Archaludon isn't any more ridiculous than Duraludon already was. It is a bit funny that a lighter evolves into a bridge, but it's not the strangest progression a Pokémon takes. Giving Duraludon evolite is a bold move though. And while I love the design, and understand the theme behind it, all I'm ever going to be able to think when Paradox Raikou is sent into battle is "I'M A GIRRAFFE!"

I really like Sauropod Raiko! It makes sense for it not to make sense. And as a bonus, it's funny and awesome at the same time!

I have a feeling that Kieran will summon the new Mythical Pokémon in the Teal Mask He seems to get really upset and kind of possessive when the Player talks to someone he seemingly doesn’t like over and over, and he wears the replica of the Mythical’s mask at the festival which could be foreshadowing (Edit:) The underside of Kieran’s hair is also (close to) the same color as the Loyal Three’s purple adornments and they seem pretty evil so that could match up as well (ALSO OMG THEY MADE AN ADAMAN DESCENDANT SHES SO COOL)

Rose’s tower is a giant steel tower which was inspired from Duraludon’s GMAX which is a giant steel tower. So, I think they are keeping in line with that idea and made it to another construction/building based design. And Future forms in violet are mostly metal based and that might also be a reason. Hence the Bridge. A steel Bridge Pokemon

Personally, I really like Archaludon. Duraludon was never one of my favorites, but this imposing bridge beast seems like something that could be a pseudo legendary. And Duraludon with an Eviolite could be very painful if they ever brought back Gigantamax. Also Dipplin looks like Applin and Slugma combined after Sirfetch’d stabbed them both through the eyes. I love him tho.

The new Raikou makes me think of a Serpopard, a mythical leopard with a long neck depicted on Egyptian pottery. If so that’d be kinda cool I guess. But yeah considering it’s supposed to be from millions of years in the past not thousands, it’s probably a sauropod (long neck dinosaur) and that I don’t really get….

Dipplin, has got that candied drip. Archaludon, a literal bridge Pokémon with a railgun as an attack--i.e Electric Shot. Raging Bolt, a long-necked dino Raikou form that I very much adore. And Iron Crown, a simple yet enjoyable Paradox Cobalion.

I watched on the first day it came out and watched this on the next day and loved the reactions

The moment I saw raging bolt is completely same as John ' WHAT HAVE THEY DO TO RAIKOU ?!'

The Raikou -like character is called Raging Bolt while the futuristic Colballion is called Iron Crown.

I think they made it as to say which side do you like? The johto beasts that have dinosaur paradox forms or the Unova Swords of Justice that have now Robot paradox forms. It’s basically Johto vs Unova with these paradox Pokémon now.

Dipplin is easily one of the best support mons we've gotten in a while, at least for VGC. It's typing is whack, sure, but a move that is essentially like GMAX Wildfire but instead of doing damage every turn, it lowers speed every turn (which would be super good as a status move since Covert Cloak would be useless) AND an ability that makes low accuracy moves viable for itself and it's partners, by lowering evasiveness every time it switches in. Almost every water type that lost Scald and is restricted to Hydro Pump *cough* Iron Bundle *cough* got a huge boost in viability. And with a new rain setter in Politoed, this thing's gonna be an absolute staple on rain teams. Unless they give it the most atrocious stat distribution known to mankind like Clodsire. I'm also imagining this thing gets Acid Spray or Helping Hand or potentially Apple Acid (?), which again, really buffs that Hydro Pump to astronomical levels, especially with the existence of Tera Water. Also, Focus Blast, Blizzard, Thunder, Hurricane, Fire Blast, Gunk Shot, Dragon Rush, Iron Tail, Dark Void, Will-o-Wisp (on open sheet), Head Smash, Stone Edge etc. all become a lot more viable (can't think of a good mon that learns Gunk Shot but hey it's viable now).

Raging bolt to me looks like a diplodocus. I subspecies of brachiosuar that has a whip like tail and this form could possibly be a reference to JWE's Ankylodocus, a hybrid of the ankylosaur and diplodocus that has a long neck and clubbed tail

I think Raging Bolt does come off a bit goofy due to the fact that they only showed it for a split second and in that it was moving. the idle mon is actually quite cool...
