Nice companion video to the PMACA website. Excellent job of explaining the differences between the chassis and their options. Seeing someone hold and manipulate the pieces also gives the viewer a good sense of scale. PMACA should license this video to put on their website!

Nice review, Zack. You know, if you use a Tactical Innovations trigger housing it will lock against the corner section of the delrin (L-shape provision for the trigger grip) and make it very solid. Good thing I did not sand it. Once you tighten the action screw it makes up for a very solid rig, no seesaw whatsover. I have no idea if mine is a fluke as I have only one PMACA chassis (ss 6" KIDD barrel with no Ruger parts).

For a takedown I don’t know that I’d use a pmaca. I had one on there in the past but I think there’s some better options now for takedowns.

3:31 I just ordered an 8 inch barrel. Will it clear the long nose chassis? You sound unsure.

I've built up 4 ruger 1022s from stock rifles vut I'm building one now from reciever uo. A big problem has been chassis since it's impossible to find a Butler creek for under $250--- and I'm basically building a charger-- these look like what I want.

Since my form 1 suppressor is 1.375" I will have to go with the multi chassis for a 4.5" barrel. The suppressor clearance cut is not large enough. I am building a rifle as well, it is too bad that long nose requires a rear tang.

How much are your pistols weighing with a sba3 and a 4 inch barrel, and also the 10 inch barrel? Excellent video, i just began research on these, vs the kidd chasis, and you helped clear it up a ton! I wish the pmaca had the mlok cuts, but oh well. I am also glad to see you had a lightweight pmaca! Thats what im after! Now the question is, do i splurge on a kidd receiver with a rear tang, or pay a measly $70 for a brownells receiver? Worth the upgrade?

No more or less than any other 10/22 stock. It's the nature of the beast with a single fastener

So, I am waiting on my SBR paperwork, I want to use a 10" Barrel with a suppressor, what chassis seems to work best? 6" suppressor, 1" dia.

Personally if you are going to SBR it I think I would go shorter than 10". With a 6" barrel I'd say the MultiChassis with carbon tube is best if you don't mind the extra weight, otherwise the standard chassis is nice too.

The tube and carbon fiber part are only available on the multi-chassis. I just emailed them what length I wanted.

Nice collection of 10/22s. By the way, what company did you use to machine the KIDD tang cuts on your receivers?

Thanks, I sent the receivers to CT Precision to get them milled. They were great. I would recommend Randy @ CPC to do the work.

So the Longnose version will not work with a standard 10/22 receiver? I don't have the Kidd, nor do I really see myself getting one.

Technically it’ll fit but there will be a gap at the rear where the tang goes and the whole action may rock in the chassis.

I believe it was 7”. I basically just measured where the can left some room for my fingers and called it good

If I drop an 8” barreled charger pistol into the long nose Chasis am I able to add a pistol brace without it becoming a sbr?

Sure, if it is a Charger and not a 10/22 you'll be fine.

Works with all, charger is just a 10/22 with shorter barrel.

Will the carbon tubing shroud only fit the multi chassis?

As far as I know yes. It has a larger diameter barrel channel to accept the tube.

That's a good question, personally for a rifle build I'd do the long nose chassis version, unfortunately it'd require you to machine the receiver for a Kidd tang but you'll get more rigidity and you'd be able to move your bipod out further. I also think the long noses cover more of the barrel which make it look more balanced.

A little more attention to detail, these could have been great. That gap behind the trigger guard and it not mating to the receiver hurts the look of these. Guess more material would equal more weight and more money, but looks and comfort would be worth it.

Yeah a charger and 10/22 are the same receivers so all these chassis will fit both.

This is the zillion things video of 10/22 rifles & pistols. I have the rifle, but would like to convert my charger to .17 Hm2. Has anyone done this and is it possible at an economical cost. My wife is getting ugly about the number of guns I’ve collected.

You can but I personally don’t see the benefit of hm2. It feels like a stale cartridge at this point

From what I have read there is an issue with the case heads coming off the case due to the thin walls of the casing (or something along those lines) and that is why ruger didn’t continue making the 10/22 in that chambering.
