Great video , I searched this (after I installed) stupid I know but let me tell you ! I had no instructions which I didn’t think I needed and I installed the 1.5 blocks backwards who know they weren’t the same height across lol or maybe just me ! I had a 50/50 shot to get right and the difference is insane grinding/ weird sound around 60 mph , I took apart inspected everything and realized I installed wrong make sure low side of block to front ! Saves you from having to do it twice like myself!!!!!!
Good review. I have a 2018 F-250 4x4 without the overload springs. I did not have the u-bolt issue you had as mine did not seem to be narrowed down on the open end. I also tow heavy now and again so I purchased the 2” version and still have a small amount of rake.
I gotcha, I'm interested in seeing how mine preforms when I put the gooseneck trailer on it. It should definitely have a squat then, but I will prevent it with the purchase of air bags or sumo springs
I just got mine on and called PM about the torque specs. He said 170 ft lbs. I am having a problem getting to that torque specs with a good torque wrench. Any suggestions?
Well, you can rent a torque wrench from any of the big auto parts store, you play the 100 or so dollars to borrow it and when you return it, they will refund your money to you . That's the easiest way without spending your money on something you only use once or so
first off you have 1 comment, im about to be the second. why the hell you lowering the f250? what are you possibly using this truck for?. help me understand!. or are you following a dying trend??? like seriously, you spend alot of money on a 250 to lower it?.. seriously your money could be spent elsewhere. go get an f150 its the same height you lowered it!
@adolph6359 yeah I can sell them. I am currently out of town till tomorrow I can send some pics this weekend. Hey email me at: contact.lbemechanic@gmail.com Just send me a hey 👋 email, so I can delete this post so no one can randomly email me.
A 1" rake would have been better since you carry people in the back...once they are loaded, you'll have a Carolina squat. A F150 would have been better for your application. Lower to the ground, way more parts and less cost
Very true, but I own the 250 and wanted to try something out. Plus, it helps other people. It let's them see the final product without having to spend their own money
Very true, so you just have to run a shorter shock , but I will removed mine, I plan on lifting it next year , just always wanted to try it and make a video for other people
@@LBE.MECHANIC nice truck. I have a 2020 also non tremor model. Trying to figure out why mine sits an inch higher than yours with 35’s. I also only have a 3/4” rake. My truck is the 6.2 so maybe the engine is lighter maybe.. I just always thought the tremor sat 2” higher.
@walleyehunter2559 that's probably it , the smaller engine weighs less, but no, I love my 7.3 and the tremor model, definitely worth it, but I wish it was a diesel sometimes. I hate emission and epa, I didn't want to spend 10k more on it just to spend another 4k to delete it and void my all my warranties. So I bought the next best thing. Also are you running a throttle pedal commander in yours.
@@LBE.MECHANIC I agree 💯 I don’t regret not going diesel. Less headache and less $$$. I only tow a 3k boat and 7k camper so it’s more truck than I really need. And no to the banks or pedal commander. Really been thinking of trying one!
@walleyehunter2559 I have the banks and love it. I heard too many problems with the commander. I've had my banks for about a year, and it really woke the truck up. It no longer thinks it just goes. I would recommend it but wait for it to go on sale. I also have there rear diff cover on the truck as well
