Exceptional product used by our team. With a discount it's even nicer 😅 thanks to Dan for visiting us at the booth Absolute Motorsport Acelith At adac 2022, we hope to see you again this year
Hi Dan, I am happily an srp owner and I believe that from your review there are two very important points that you have not pointed out.. the first is that any update will be made in the future you can do it without having to change the pedalboard but buying the new product is replacing it with the old one. And according to the service, I believe that there is no better service than David, in two days you will get the spare part without problems! Congratulations Dan and above all congratulations David.
@@Rufuz_tv Thanks for the information, I keep saying it’s a crazy hobby that we spend all this money and can’t try before we buy! The Srp’s look very good as well I am not a fan of laser cut steel.
Very well explained, congratulations for the video. I bought the GTR-3P two months ago, directly to Costa Rica from Spain. The pedals are fantastic, but what is somewhat unique is the treatment of SRP. Before, during and after the purchase. Totally recommended. Greetings from Costa Rica. Pura Vida.
I actually love the look of these pedals. Like wow Also I agree less brake pressure and slightly more travel helps so so much with trsil braking! Let's end the days of brick wall pedals! I'm not sitting in an f1 car getting g forced transferring weight through the pedal with my body/leg lol I don't need a pedal that's a brick wall. It ant comfort and control. Also road cars have progressive brakes exactly like a p1000 feels tbh. Probably like this alot also. Right now I do own the p1000s and if I ever got into the reslly really high end range of pedals I would get the ones in this video. They fit my preference for sure. But then again from the recent review I saw you did on the p1000s after these you said the p1000s are about the bedt pedals you have tested and the best price for what you get. So maybe it wouldn't be worth it. Lol What pedals are you running right now personally?
The design of these is unique , and a better solution than the dated elastomer design that basically every other pedal set has. Build quality is second to none also. I would recommend them.
Hi Dan received the pedals 4 days ago .After the unboxing and pedals on my work bench the quality of construction engineering and attention to detail 99.9% perfect nothing is perfect when driving in RF2 at Road Atlanta a track i know well ,with my Asetek Invicta Pedals my best time was 1.17.01 with SRP down to 1.15.985 this absolutely amazed me ..but 1.16.2 consistent times i put this time gain to brake feel and better trail braking ability of SRP brake. please note i am just a mid pack driver... So to any one on the fence about buying SRP you will not be disappointed and i very much recommend SRP Pedals
Hello dan! I've had SRP pedals with the new Piston-R for about a month now. For me it is a great experience. Reverse braking is easier and the accelerator is wonderful. Highly recommended.
Great video Dan! Glad to see these are finally getting reviewed outside of Spain. Picked up a 2-pedal set of this GT-R Edition a few months ago, and I'm in love with them. Had HE Ultimates back in the states, but wanted something different when I built my new rig. Couldn't be happier with them...just need to pick up the clutch pedal at some point; and I'm looking forward to the possibility of haptic feedback!
Thanks Dan, I need pedals for my rig, staying in Spain these were on my list, but as you say they appear to be overlooked, I am fed up waiting for Cube Controls to release their pedals they keep saying soon. Is there much difference between the Imsim Talento’s and these, I don’t like the look of the Talento’s but I like the reviews on them, the SRP’s look good!
Hi Dan, i have the Sim-Lab XP1 and you recently posted a review about these. Noe i got offered the SPG Gt Pedals for a relly good price. Do you see sny advantage switching to the SPG pedals?
With all these pedal set innovations coming on the market, I’m hoping HE comes up with decent upgrade accessories for their ultimate and sprint lines. Damned if I’m going to shelve my €1500 ultimates for something new to market. But an upgrade that offers the same… that would be tempting.
Use the non black version since 6 months. incredible and perfect feeling. I think I will upgrade to the black version when I have issues. Due to the perfect performance that can took years...Thx for the video. Was looking for the downsides... can't find any by myself too :)
If I do that people will just say I'm biased ... my absolute number one right now is the GSI Hyper P1 followed by the FPE. Still might make a video about it :)
@@DanSuzuki I hadn't seen the P1 yet, that looks interesting. I'm wanting 300mm, but I'm not sure I want the hassle of a screen on the wheel. It would be helpful, though.
Thanks for video, Dan. I have serious doubts about the longevity of the seals. How many seals are there? How difficult to replace? Are they "off the shelf" seals? I can just imagine sitting down one day, stomping on the brake and hearing a big fart noise.
I have a SRP-GT 3P set since David was beta-testing them (pre v1) and all good so far. Should you encounter any issues, I'm sure that David would fix them in record time.
I have the first version from a few years ago. I had an issue at the start and was sent a replacement in a few days, the design has since been improved and no issues in the last 2 years.
Where are all these reviewers getting the price from? Because what he listed is without VAT. Also, what you mention at 6:16 is caused by the thin strips of rubber under the base of the pedal arms that dampen the sound. They stick a bit.
Pneumatic sim pedals aren't completely unique. The Italian, high-end sim racing company ARC not only made high-end pneumatic pedals years ago but also wrote an interesting document on why pneumatic is superior to hydraulic for sim racing pedals.
Very interesting Pedal set, I never could see the point in hydraulic pedals since you were just pushing a load cell with elastomers, you cant feel the compression of oil so its just pointlessly complicated with the possibility for them to leak. with this i like how you get the direct air pressure and the way it compresses looks very nice, would defiantly be keeping my eyes on these as an upgrade, But I do wonder how many cycles the SRP pedals will last. if its just a cheap seal replacement that's something I could live with.
Sg
Hey @Dan Suzuki I noticed in the game play segment you have whats looks like an ultrawide imagine inside the car how did you achieve that. It looks like it has the bezel free kit on but clearly not that because its in game not your monitors. Hope my question makes sense.
These are beautiful, sucks they apparently don’t have US distribution. Another $160 for shipping’s hard to swallow on already expensive pedals. And after you mentioning purple pedal faces, I noticed they now offer them. I would have never even thought about looking at those. But now thanks to you if I do end up buying these I think I gotta go with purple lol
Nice to see this true innovative principle for a competitive price, but wouldn't buy it because of the linear clutch. The more bite, the better. Other than for starts I use the clutch for shifting occasionally and set up my Ultimate to what I think an old race car might feel, so quite stiff, which also fits well to many cars in BeamNG, AC and AMS2. The actual bite point might vary depending of the car, but it's similar in real life that the apex of the pressure curve doesn't necessarily correspond with the bite point.
Hey Dan, you say that gas compresses differently in different temperatures? Does that mean if your room is hotter/colder than normal the brake pressure changes?
Hi Harrison, the pistons are charged with a special gas that is not affected by temperature change, you can play in the north pole or at home with the heating on full blast and the pressure will be the same.
What is the difference between the GT piston and the R piston? The GT piston: With the new brake cam, the range of settings has been widened, from a guy who wants to brake like a street car with very little pressure, to a very close to competition setting like a TCR, as you know it's up to every driver. SRP P1/FR piston: Actually I have been lucky enough to work with real drivers from different disciplines, a year ago, the decision was taken to create a 100% competition piston and from there was born the SRP P1/FR piston so that they could train and they can exercise the forces, precision, sensations as in their competition cars which have very demanding brakes and accompanied by the new SRP-MySetup V3.2.1 software, with a new feature to help you adjust the brake when you compete with ABS. Highly recommended to play with sparco shoes But it's up to you to decide what kind of riding style you have and whether you're ready to take it to the next level.
Looks like a nice set with something new to offer as well. I'll say though that even with the Invicta pedals, and any pedalset, 100kg is too much. Even James Baldwin has said that he uses his sim pedals around 70-80kg max. In the real cars they do go to 100kg+, but due to g forces assisting you in pushing the pedal it feels more like 70kg on a sim setup.
Hi Elco. From what you say, you must work in a maintenance factory, have you ever calculated the km that the cylinders you have changed have travelled? Have you checked the characteristics of the technical data sheet of the standard pistons you use, where it says the km of useful life of the seals? And of course, the pistons are manufactured exclusively for SRP with the specific characteristics of my design and I am not changing stickers.
@@SRPSimRacingPro We have a big problem were i work. It is a Cleanroom with clean Compressed Air without oil in the Air . Normal you have oil in the Compressed Air so the lifetime is much longer. Yes we tested this. For your Brake Zylinder. They do over 20 Mio. Cycles befor they die. The Throttle and Clutch ones, they die after 10 Mio cycles. But all without any extra oil or anything. The travel off one cycle is 200 to 300mm Another thing is the speed, at my work the cylinders only have round about 800 ms time for one cycle. Thats not really a Optimum For Lifetime. So you don't should get any Problems with the sealing. I don't wanna say that your System is not good. It's really nice because there is so much knowledge in the background in the Industrie off Pneumatik. I wish you good Luck for your Projekt. This is much better then These Rubber Brakes. Maybe you would tell me were you let the cylinders produce for you. Greeetings from Germany. Sry for my Bad english.
Did you tried the Simtrecs? They are awesome too and more or less for the same price but I cannot tell how different they feel because I have never tried pneumatic-based pedals.@@DanSuzuki
I ordered the 2 pedal Invicta S series to compare to my 2 pedal SRP set. I have the older brake system, but they have been great. Interested in trying the Invicta bc I only drive Formula and want the small travel & brick wall feel…which the SRP can provide, but I want to see if there’s a significant difference with the Invictas. Hopefully they can ship within the next month.
@@DanSuzuki so I actually have the Invictas. But I’m worried about my long term knee health. I had an old injury playing soccer post army life and only run it about 20 bar. Are these easier on the knee’s?
Love the paddles, hate the software. Using the serial communication is not my favorite (I‘m a hardware/software developer). I prefer how e.g. Heusinkfeld does it with storing the settings on the controller. No need to start any additional software. It just works.
